Maca users?

Hi Ladies! My 17 month old is breastfed about 3-4 times in the day, with a break from about 11am to 5pm, and then he nurses about 3-4 times through the night. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I have yet to get my first ppaf and have decided to try Maca. I did try Vitex a couple of months ago, but after about a month of nothing but cramping, I decided to stop taking it. Anyway, has anyone used Maca to bring back period while breastfeeding? How long did you take it before you started to cycle again? How old was your nursing baby at the time? Thanks!!

i have been taking maca very regularly for about 6 months now, and although i love it, i have yet to start my period. im nursing an 11 month old who sleeps through the night, and nurses 6-8 times through the day. it has done wonders for my energy, and adrenal function, but it has not brought on aunt flow. maybe if you are nursing less than i am you will have luck, also i had really irregular periods pre-babies, so it may just be me. it is worth giving it a try. i love it! i would get capsules unless you think you will like it, cause i can't quite stomach it!

I've been taking it for 3 weeks but no PPAF yet. I nurse a 10 month old.
