Messed up BBT or Clomid?

This is my first cycle using Clomid - 50mg days 3-7. I took it and had no real side effects that I know of. CD13 I did my FMU OPK and it was -. Later in the day I had cramps, etc., so I did another OPK and it was +. CD 14 FMU OPK was +. That evening I had HORRIBLE cramps and back pain. CD 15 FMU OPK was -, but my temp was not elevated. I re-did the OPK later in the day and it was - as well. This morning, my temp was up a full degree. So...is it possible to have a -OPK but no rise in temp or is it more likely that my BBT was wrong? FWIW, I got the exact same temp four days in a row prior to today. I was thinking maybe I geared up to O and didn't, but with the increase in temp today, I know I O'ed. Thoughts?

I don't use OPK's but I thought I read that they detected the surge 12-36 hours before O. So I would think it is possible to see a + and not an immediate temp rise. Or It sounds like you O'd at night on CD14 so there was a slight delay for it to show in temps?

I've heard that O occurs 12-48 hours after the OPK spike. I've also heard that O pains can occur days before or after O, not necessarily while you're Oing.

So, I agree with GolfAddict, you most likely O'd the day before your temp spike, about two days after your positive OPK.
