So I was talking to my grandfather the other day. GP is 89, and raised on a farm with 6 other brothers and sisters in Kansas (he pretty much is the coolest person I know)
He asked me the other day if DS still nursed. I always get tense when people ask me this, because most think I am being lazy about weaning, keeping him a baby whatever... but I always say "yes"
Anyways, gramps said "Good, I remember the older ones (his brothers/sisters) getting off the bus from school and having a little snack"
It took me a moment to process this, but then it sunk in!!
I love my grandpa, he is the ONLY one in my family who encourages me to nurse
And now he is encouraging me to continue nursing!
With the dirty looks DH is giving me I will take the kudos where I can get them!

when I first had DS, he shared a story about remembering nursing in church, he said he bit his mom and got slapped!
