Where do you buy your wool longies?

I'm looking for a wool longie. I wish I could sew, but buttons and the occasional hole-mending are about my limit. So...where are some good places to get a good quality wool soaker? I don't want to spend a ton of money trying different ones, so am hoping for a few solid performers. Etsy sellers?

They can be expensive, so it is forcing me to learn to knit!

In the meantime, I have carefully shopped on "spots" on hyenacart for gently used longies, soakers etc.

I bought mine used from Diaperswappers and Spots on Hyena Cart. You could also check Cloth Diaper Nation out for used wool. I just haven't bought from there because my daughter's been potty learned for awhile.

spots on hyena is awesome. I mostly watch the featured stores on the front page too. Congos always seem to have the best stuff.

Etsy.. I also noticed amazon has some 100% wool things for little ones but I didn't look too closely. I for sure saw onesies that were 100% merino for 3 month olds though... I was busy looking for wool coats which is WAY too hard to find unless you want a blend with polyester grrr

if you just want a soaker and not longies, most cloth diaper places sell a couple. green mountain diapers has a bunch of wool options including some pants too.

Not cheap, but I can't say enough good things about Woollybottoms. Heck, I knit and I still buy these because they're so well made. I've had two soakers and a pair of footed longies and I'm considering getting some pants too.

Wow, it's going to take me a while to figure out Hyena Cart! So, Spots and Congos are *not* sellers. Seems like when I see a longie I like, I click and it says "makes a great daytime diaper cover." I'm wanting one for nights, ideally with the belly "flap" extension thingy to prevent leaks from the belly vs. a regular waist. Because I have a Dancing Bears fleece soaker, but no PJ bottoms fit DD over it with her nighttime dipe, and Babylegs don't seem to be warm enough. This is going to be harder than I thought!

If you already have a fleece soaker that works, a pair of stretchy wool longies will be fine for warmth on top, right? (my mil knit a couple of soakers and they're too loosely knit for nighttime individually, but they work one on top of the other.)

i think i saw a bunch of footy longies on wollybottoms still available. If you are looking for pajama bottoms, those would be perfect since they will keep her feet warm as well.

Also keep in mind that honestly, any wool can be nighttime wool if you have a good nighttime diaper system that won't require your wool to work extremely hard.

If you want a soaker instead of longies, disana makes an awesome soaker for nighttime. It has the band at the waist that goes high and the thighs go pretty low and its very thick. one soaker is 20 something dollars I believe. abby's lane sells it and I'm sure most other cloth diaper stores would too like green mountain diapers if you have a cd preference.

You could always buy a few pairs of fleece footies PJs in the next size up while you figure it out We put DS2 in some 3T fleece footie pajamas at night and he normally wears a 2T, they fit great over our wool soaker or DB soaker.

The 2 that are most bulletproof for me are also the cheapest. Babyology and Piper's Closet. PC is on Etsy, I believe. I found her on DS though. She makes a 2 layer wool flannel wrap style that is amazing. I got mine custom made to fit my skinny long-rise guy, and it was under $15. Babyology I believe you can find (new) on ebay, and again I got it for under $15. I have both soakers and longies from them, love them both. They look kinda funny, but they get us through the night beautifully.

If you're looking for cute though, that would be Kozy Wool. They are hand-knit to order, in all sorts of adorable patterns. But they are definitely daytime weight. If you get in on a co-op buy, you can get them for under $20. I have a really adorable soaker with a Stegosaurus on the butt that is just the cutest thing ever.

Pricey, but Nova Naturals has an great soaker with extended belly flap.

Regarding hyena cart, find the word "shop" on the homepage, put your cursor on it. A menu should drop down, then scroll down to Spots and click. Spots is a place on hyena cart where people can sell their gently used items.

I had 2 & gave one to a friend who LOVED it as a night time cover/pj pants. I used the other pair for DD for days, but didn't really like the look. So, I sold it to another mama who ended up using it for a night cover too. I never tried it for night b/c we already had a system in place that was working.

If you want something like babyology, but for some reason want to spend a ton more $ you could try Aristocrats longies for $40 - $50 depending on the size
