cybex strollers

Anybody have one? Which one do you have? Do you like it?

They look like the type of stroller I want. Somewhere between umbrella and travel system. I need something lightweight and easy to get in the trunk of my compact car. Needs to have a basket underneath. I see good deals on these on Overstock.com.

But, I have no idea which one is what I should get. DD is 5.5 months, so I'd like one with more than one reclining position, so I think the Ruby is out. The Callisto is too expensive. So I think that leaves two choices.

Any opinions?

So it's between the Topaz and the Onyx then? I'd go with the Topaz for the bumper bar. It's nice when they are older, you can just slide them into the stroller and not have to buckle them and perhaps your infant seat will fit in there with the bumper bar.
Seems very similar in style to Maclaren strollers - I have one of the Maclarens and love, love, love it. Best stroller ever (we have about 6 of them).

Looked at the Ruby and it does recline. I will say we pretty much only use the upright position and the fully reclined position, not the inbetween ones.....

They've been showing up on mamabargains a lot lately. Like 1/2 price.

That's what made me look at them. But overstock.com has them even cheaper!

Yeah, the Ruby does the straight up and fully reclined. I thought I'd want more reclining options. But you say you don't need the in-between. So maybe I should consider the Ruby.

Here are what I like and don't like about the three that aren't the Callisto (too expensive)

Ruby- Cheap. Super lightweight. (huh, the website is showing 4 position recline for the Ruby, but some stuff I've read says it only has 2...weird)

Onyx- two position leg rest. 1-pull harness. 4 position recline. 2 position leg rest.

Topaz- 1-pull harness. 2 position leg rest. 4 position recline. removable bumper bar. height adjustable handles. heavier. more expensive. bigger when folded.

Huh, so when I write it out like this it seems like the Ruby or the Topaz are what I probably want.

How important would you guys say the leg rest, 1-pull harness, bumper bar, and adjustable handles are?

The Ruby looks to be 42 inches high... is that high enough? I don't want one of those strollers where you're reaching way down to push it. DH and I are both average height.

I can get the Ruby for $60 or the Topaz for $85.
