14month old Nursing like Newborn

Thread Starter
Hi all,
My almost 14-month old DS has recently started nursing constantly, and for marathon nursing sessions. I'm happy to oblige, but just curious if anyone else has experienced this?

I'm thinking he is sorta "checking in" with me more frequently since he's now more independant in many ways...

Thanks!

Pretty common. Esp if teething or getting sick.

My LO went through an almost weaning phase at that age (I was not happy about it and had to force her to nurse to keep my supply up.)...Now at 17 months she's nursing ALL the time again like a NB. I'm talking every 2 hours or more frequently! It's a mystery why they do what they do sometimes...

My DD does this every time she has teeth coming in. I think
eating hurts so she skimps on the solids and goes milk crazy to
compnsate.

dd is 14 mo and has dramatically increased her nursing frequency, too. it feels a lot like she's checking in, most of the time, like just to make sure they're still there and she can have them.

she also just got all 4 top teeth in at once, which has had something to do with it too, i'm sure.
