A question for the thrift shoppers - have you ever seen one of these?

Hoping someone can help me out here - I've been scouring thrift shops here in town with no luck, and I don't recall ever seeing one in all the time I've shopped kids clothing.

Has anyone ever seen a Daisy Girl Scout Tunic at a thrift shop? I've seen Brownie uniforms minus the sash, but not Daisy.

I have only seen them on ebay not at any thrift shop that I frequent. I tried craigslist too but no dice there either.

Only problem is that they already have the flower/flower petals on them so that doesn't quite work.

I actually found a daisy tunic and a brownie vest with all of the patches/pins intact at our local Savers. I brought them home, pealed off/used a seam ripper on the patches (without damaging the tunic or vest) and cut them down for American Girl outfits for my DDs.

You might try putting out a "wanted" ad on your local freecycle.

:shock

Did you save the patches and pins? They are harder to find than the uniforms!

Our freecycle sucks - I've put out an ad on craigslist with no results.

I have seen them on occasion but not very often.
I would try the local troops. A lot of troop leaders that I have known/volunteered for would accept donations of old/to small uniforms or uniforms that the girls were no longer continuing and then sale them for a discounted cost to new girls who needed them. Any money made would then be put into troop funds (so it wasn't like they were taking something for free and turning around to sell it). They really didn't advertised that they did that, you had to ask them if they knew where to get them and they would tell you about it.

patches/pins are hard to come by for even the leaders. When I was a leader it was like pulling hair to get the patches I needed for my girls.
