Yea for Toolip! Way to go! Keep talking about this subject -- you have an ideal audience and it sounds like you know your stuff.
And, personally, I *HATE* the "little snip" argument. My best friend IRL is totally crunchy, AP/nursing/wearing/co-sleeping mom, yet she allowed her son to be circ'd. Her explanation to me (somewhat sheepishly) was, "well, (DH) wanted him to match, so we got him snipped." I almost walked out of the conversation, it made me so upset. Her son went on to have a lot of trouble nursing (trouble not replicated with her daughter ... go figure), and I think she knows in her heart that the so-called "snip" played a part of it. She's never said it, but it's been implied. I feel bad for her, but I feel worse for him. Fortunately, he didn't have any life-threatening consequences ... but he is a kid who I guarantee will ask her later in life why she let them cut on his penis ... good luck explaining that one!

Just struck by the "snip" reference.
