wondering what is going on...

i have a fairly regular 28 day cycle. i had sex on the 16th and was due to start on the 21st. that evening i had one wipe of reddish mucous so i put in a tampon. the next morning, there was only a small amount of brown blood. over the next 2 or 3 days, i had very small amounts of brown spotting. now there is nothing. i took a hpt yesterday and got a bfn. would i have tested too early, since possible conception was only 10 days ago? is there even a possibility that i could be pregnant? any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

I think it may have been too early to get a bfp if it was implantation bleeding/spotting. Sex on the 16th if you were expecting af on the 21st probably wouldn't have resulted in pg, though. Could be you ovulated later than expected...keep us updated
