When do they nightwean??

So far, my second child is on the pure CLW path. However, I've started thinking about nightweaning her. She starts the night in her own bed then wakes, comes to our bed to breastfeed and finishes the night there. The issue is that she needs to sleep later in the morning than my third child and he sometimes wakes her up. He's recently started waking up between 5:30-6:30 and she needs to sleep until at least 7:30. (I can't put her bedtime any earlier). So, I was wondering if there's any hope that she'll nightwean on her own soon. She's 4.5 years old. I did gently nightwean my oldest child at 4.5 years old and it was really easy. I'm hoping she'll nightwean on her own, but I really would prefer her to do it on her own. However, she's short on sleep so I'm wondering if nightweaning will help her stop nightwaking. She's STTN five times in her life, though they were all about a month ago.

I know that some people feel that if you nightwean that isn't true CLW. But what is more important to me than doing something "by the book" is doing what is right for my child. I nightweaned my daugther last month at just 21 months, something I never thought I would do. But I KNEW we were in a vicious cycle of having to nurse to get back to sleep and that if she didn't nurse at night she would sleep better. For the most part that has been true and seeing her sttn for the first time a few days in was very rewarding and supported my decision. I think you know your child best and if you think she needs sleep at this point more than a night time nursing session then I think you can night wean without guilt. Good luck
