I am a mama of five, three of whom are homeschoolers, one who will be soon, and one who has gone on to a local arts magnet school. My husband and I have been together for ages and ages, and we are big proponents of attachment parenting, baby wearing, breast feeding, co-sleeping, non-circing, and cloth diapering. Our entire family is vegan, and we try to eat as sustainable a diet as possible (local, organic, etc).
Since I am a grad student and work from home for a software development company, life is a bit insane (DH is working on a degree as well), but we do alright. We try to lead a simple life, and for the most part, we succeed. I am working on a thesis that looks at engaged Buddhism, civil society, and building a human rights culture in Vietnam and Burma.
In my free time (ha!) I like to write, draw, and sometimes play in Second Life in mostly dystopian/post-apoc roleplay sims (I used to be a tabletop gamer in another lifetime). I was a GM for awhile, but now my character has been more or less retired since my thesis is pretty insane and time consuming. I like to build in SL, and I have a small piece of land in the Wastelands where I sell prim art.
