Pants while crawling?

Thread Starter
the temperature has finally dipped down here in Texas, to the point where DS needs to wear some pants.

We put some on him this morning and set him down on our wood floor. He can't crawl! His legs keep slipping on the floor. He looks like bambi trying to take his first steps-- legs everywhere.

Other than giggling and taking a video... is there anything else I should be dong? Sewing some sort of grippy material to his pant knees?

ha ha ha. i think the video is pretty much all you can do at this point!

we have wood floors and wear pants and tights and dresses that get caught under our legs. i think he'll get used to it.

He'll probably figure it out soon! We have carpet, but when we went to visit DH's family, DS started doing a bear crawl thing on his hands and feet (instead of knees) on their hardwood.

We have wood floors too and my DD had trouble with that as well. It got better really quickly though as she figured things out. I love that you got video of it though!

All three of mine learned to crawl on slippery wood floors-- it takes a few days, but they work it out.

He'll figure it out. We only have wood and A Wears pants or babylegs in the mornings before it warms up.
