transforming a bean soup

Thread Starter
my DH, despite agreeing to "eat cheaper" is refusing to eat the bean and barley soup i made this weekend. it's got mixed beans, split peas, lentils, barley and the small amount of beef from the beef bones i used. he won't even taste it.

i have 1/2 gallon of the stuff and don't want it to go to waste.

any ideas for making it into something else? shepherd's pie? BBQ beans?

i need good ideas.

TIA!

what's the reason he won't eat it / try it? Just curious, what did he eat while you were eating the soup? What spices did you use? If you really liked it you could always freeze it into small batches for you.

Shepherds pie sounds good
purée some as a dip
If its already quite thick you could add some mashed potato and form into patties. They are easier to cook if you chill them a bit after shaping.
