I just had to share this with you all.
Dh and I flew out of state this past week and took our 9 mo dd with us. On our flight out of Chicago, the male flight attendant was getting our drinks. After he passed them over, he started to walk away and then came back and asked us where we were from. When we told him Michigan he looked surprised and said he would have guessed we were Canadian. ???
I was completely confused and turned to dh to see what he thought as the flight attendant walked off. Dh calmly said, "he can totally see your boob."
To get the to point quickly, the moral of the story is, apparently only Canadians are brazen enough to let flight attendants see their chests while nursing! Ha. It's so ridiculous that I can do nothing but laugh.
I was nursing dd under one of those lovely "udder covers" that holds the material off of the baby's face and leaves an opening so that you can see him/her and still feel "covered up." Of course, now that I think about it, if you're sitting and someone is standing over you, they can see underneath it too! LOL.
I just got the silly thing a few weeks ago, and I really like it. I totally don't think women should have to cover up while nursing, but it sure was nice to just be able to pull my shirt down and let dd nurse without having to worry about flashing the whole world. She's at the age where she's constantly getting distracted and popping off and yanking on my shirt, so it's quite relaxing to just sit back and let her do her thing with the cover over us.
