Quite giddily pregnant with first child here in the land of snow and cheese! Just wanted to introduce myself and say 'Hej'!
My name is Jesi and I live with my wonderful husband Jesse and our roommate and his young son near to the capital in this beautiful city. Jesse and I are both artists in the visual and textual fields, but our day jobs consist of me working as an afterschool teacher and my husband working as an administrative assistant. My husband attended college in Portland, Oregon and gained his bachelors degrees in Philosophy and Political Science. I will be attending school for the arts, something which I am very excited about because I have not been to college yet!
I am 22 and my husband is 27, so we are younger parents. We are very excited about our addition to our small family, I am 15 weeks pregnant (
) and our baby is due in early March 2011. We hope to find our own place by then or soon after so that we can start to build our own lives with our tiny one. I am attending Madison Birth Center!
I don't know what much else to write here but at the moment I am recovering from gallbladder removal surgery which I had this past Monday so I am very free to be online and chat it up. I have become a bit more reclusive in my pregnancy and a bit listless at times (the prenatal blues?) and so conversing with other mothers (and mothers to be!) I believe will bring me into a new state of inspiration and give me some energy. I also hope to bring the same to you!
Some more jibberjabber...
I would be very interested in the way of learning and being informed of cultural nuances, great places to bask in the fragrant plumes of coffees and also information on the most interesting and pleasant living accommodations, preferably those with welcoming neighbors, a more traditional feel, and lots of time-worn aged aesthetic, large artist studio spaces also welcome!!!
My husband and I endeavor to travel to as many places around the world as possible///, quite interested in helping with sustainable living projects(teaching, childcare), artistic projects, musical , written, photographic, think Alan Lomax style filing and recording of cultures...
My favorite pastimes include dancing and flitting about, skipping, writing and speaking in whimsical flurries, speaking in accents, learning new languages, beach excursions, merrily indulging in the adornment of indusium and masquerade characteristic of Indo-Aryan/Balkan/'Ethnic'/Folk/imaginary styles, wearing/making masks, sewing, wearing hats, sunglasses, drinking wine, seeing friends, making new friends, walks, swimming, traveling, bikes, climbing on things, mountains, deserts, feathers, gorgeous and frilly fanciful dresses, curling my hair, biting my nails, drinking coffee, reading, learning/experiencing, dreaming about what my tiny baby will be like....
You, who may be my future confidant, reveal to me your dreams, wishes and everyday thoughts! I am quite eagerly and zealously awaiting your retort!
