Did I ruin my bone broth?

So I roasted my lovely grass fed soup bones and then I started my stock. I've made chicken stock countless times so I feel like I know what I'm doing, but this time I accidentally let the pot go dry. So after I put some water in, thinking it was ruined, I let it simmer some more and now I'm wondering if it is ruined? I've never made beef stock before so I don't know what it's supposed to smell like. It is a cloudy liquid. If it does have a slight burnt flavor will it hurt me to drink it?

If it wasn't actually blackened, I'd keep it. If it was blackened, I'd see if I could remove the unburnt portions and carry on with the simmering. If I couldn't get the black parts off I'd have to scrap it. I hope yours is ok!
