I think my DD may be going through the infamous 8-9 month sleep regression. She'll be 9 months at the end of September. She is suddenly up a lot at night. And not up to just nurse, up awake, sitting up, sometimes crying, sometimes just up. She is tired ALL the time during the day it seems but still resists naps now too. We co-sleep and have since birth. She has always been a "good" sleeper at night (11-12 hours) although she does wake often to nurse it's usually not disruptive to anyone. She is also really hard to get to sleep now and that, again, was never a problem before. I'm going a little batty as I'm not getting any sleep...beyond an hour here and there. I have terrible headaches and my patience is wearing thin during the day...which I hate
I'm just wondering how long this lasts on average?? Or is this just the new way of life now...

So not helpful I know, but for all my children, their sleep never really improved until they were done teething. Some months were better then others and some were way worse, but I always saw a big improvement after that. Before then it isn't just the teething but they are sitting up, crawling, talking, walking and all the 50 billion developmental things they quickly go through that affect sleep.
