My husband has a long family history of allergies including: dairy, fish, peanut, treenut in his brother, mother, himself and cousins along with severe asthma and eczema.
My 15 month old DD so far hasn't shown any signs of allergies until I gave her cinnamon milk in a mug (she thinks it is coffee), she spilled it all over herself and everywhere the milk touched she had a huge red mark that took several hours to go away. At first I freaked out that it was a milk allergy but she eats cheese quite often and when I tried rubbing cinnamon water on her skin she had the same reaction.
Do we need to avoid cinnamon in food or is it just a skin reaction because cinnamon is irritating? The family history has me quite paranoid about allergies. She seemed totally fine other than her skin after drinking the milk.
