June Roster and Intros - Page 11

Hi everyone!  My name is Larissa and I am due with #2 in "early June" lets just say.  I think my due date by lmp is actually May 28 or so, but our DD was 16 days over so I am going with "early June."  Our DD is 2 years old, will be 3 in August.

I work part-time and at home with my daughter part-time. We are in Canada.

My DD's birth was a very traumatic emergency c-section.  This time we are planning a VBAC at home, so an HBAC.

I am brand new to MDC and will have to check other forums for HBAC information!

I see there are others that are still feeling sick....my nausea was just awful for the first 16 weeks or so, and is finally tapering off now at 19 weeks....thank goodness.  I am so ready for the 2nd trimester good times!

Congratulations, June mamas!

Hello all! I'm coming in a little bit late, I hope that's okay.

My name is Jenni and I'm 31 years old. I'm a single mom with an almost 12 y/o son and a 10 1/2 y/o daughter. I also have a daughter who is 16 months old who was placed for adoption at birth. I'm currently expecting baby number 4 in mid-June. The official date is the 15th, but I'm not obsessed with the due date like most people seem to be. I'm a full-time nursing student halfway through my first year of clinicals. Baby's daddy is sort of in the picture, at this point I think he's trying to ignore the fact that I'm pregnant but planning to step in after baby is born and be daddy. It makes  no sense to me, so I'm just ignoring him and doing what I feel like needs to be done since I don't really need the extra stress.

It hasn't been that long since I was pregnant, so that part isn't new to me after so much time. However, the new baby thing is going to be hard for me to adjust to! I am blessed that my kids are excited about adding a new brother or sister to the family and they want to help out.

So far I don't know the baby's sex, but I'm sure that there is a girl baby in there.  :)  I'm hoping to know for sure at my sono on the 19th so I can plan (and shop!) better.

I've had some mostly constant nausea that has helped me lose 26 pounds since September, but thankfully not a lot of actual throwing up. The nausea has started to abate the last week or so, and I'm looking forward to being able to eat again! I'm HUNGRY!

My last birth was a c-section because she was breech and the OB wouldn't/didn't attempt a version. This time I'm seeing midwives and going for a VBAC in the hospital. I really really really wanted a HBAC, but my insurance doesn't cover it and I literally do NOT have the funds to pay out of pocket for everything.

Right now my biggest challenge is to try and find a name that we can all agree on!

Hi there, I'm Dena and this is our first! We are over the moon. Our due date is June 3rd, though from everythign I've read I realize it could be a May baby or a mid-June baby!

We've elected not to find out the sex before birth and I'm working with the staff of midwives at our local birth center. I am really hoping to stay low-risk and healthy throughout this pregnancy so that I can give birth there; would really like to avoid the hospital at all costs.

Am really glad to have found this resource.

Hi my name is Suazie.  This is my second pregnancy and I am due on June 17th.  My husband and I have one DD who is 18 months old.  I had a long but not very painful ( think it was all the Red Raspberry Tea) and drug-free birth with DD.  Hoping for water birth with this one.  We didn't find out the sex with DD and it was fun!  I wanted to find out the sex of this baby but DH doesn't want to know...so we'll see!

Hi!  I had introduced myself quickly in another thread a while back, but am coming back for an official introduction now.  I'm Jenny and have a wonderful 4-year-old son.  My new little one is due on June 27th!!  DP and I are starting to get very excited.  At first it didn't seem real.  I really had no symptoms at all, and I've had some stress in life that didn't allow me to give this pregnancy my full attention.  After finally finding the CNM that delivered my son, we got to hear the baby's heartbeat a couple of weekends ago.  After hearing that, it became more real.  I'm looking forward to focusing on the positive things in my life and this new little summer baby!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is brenda and prego with my second child, another boy, due date is June 1st. However my 20 week US showed May 30..so I'm on the cusp of may/june. I am planning a homebirth with this child and looking forward to it. Some stuff about me....We CD at home and sometimes out. It's hard because i'm one of the only ones around here that CD's so if it's at church or a sitter we use sposies.. We do not vacc. We will be homeschooling. I Babywear. I am a SAHM. We will be BF this child longer hopefully. DS weaned around 10 months. And I try to make most of our food items from scratch at home using locally grown ingredients. DH and I have been married for 5 1/2 years (I've known him for almost 11) um I think that's about it!!!  Just wanted to say Hi as i'll be in here now and then!

I guess I haven't posted on here yet!  Sorry I'm late!

My name is Corey and I've been married for three years.  We have a one year old son Aidan who we adore.  I'm a stay at home mom (though a biochemist by education) and my hubby is an engineer.  We're due June 12 but Aidan came eight days early, so we'll see...

Had the big sonogram today but we're going to be surprised on the sex!  Hoping for our first home birth as long as everything goes well.

Hi everyone! I'm Leisha and my DH and I are expecting our first together on June 5th. I have an amazing stepdaughter who is 4 (constantly reminding me that she's ALMOST 5 haha). I'm vegan and currently in school for yoga teacher training and reflexology. I started this pregnancy with an OB and switched to a midwife at a birth center at about 12 weeks. I'm feeling so much better about the decision to go with a "non traditional" (haha) natural birth with low interventions throughout the pregnancy! It just feels right to me, and I believe we all know what's best for our own bodies. We opted out of the 20 week ultrasound and are waiting til the birth to find out the sex of the baby. We are planning to cloth diaper, co-sleep, baby wear, and breastfeed for as long as possible. I work from home with flexible hours so I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll be able to continue to work and also be home with baby!!

Hiya, just found this thread so I'd like to introduce myself.  My name is Heather and I've been married to my best friend for 4 years.  We're expecting our 1st baby on June 30th 2011 and very excited.  DH is a programmer and I work from home as well doing internet marketing of various flavors.  I'm planning a home water birth if we only have a singleton, but if there's 2 in there we'll need to change our plans. We'll know Feb 8th when we go for the 20 wk US. I'm very happy to meet all the other moms on this forum and I can't wait to be a mom myself!
