Congratulations! We had family friends when I was a kid, our dads worked together, that had children that were 10.5 months apart. I remember the kids (two boys) as being great friends and fun to play with. Take care of yourself and have fun!

The blood test came back NEGATIVE! I have never been on such a roller coaster in my life, I am 95% relieved and 5% sad. Mostly relieved because my body still isnt recovered from 7 week old, and also having three under 3yo was a scary proposition. DH seems to be 60% sad and 40% relieved. He wants a son so much.

Thank you all for your congrats, even though it was a false positive!

WoW! what a whirlwind of emotions! I can understand the sadnees/relief swings...that's tough! And that lady was SO out of line! (hugs)

I've been stalking this thread. It's best if you wait about 18 months between pregnancies to reduce your risk of premature birth anyway. But now you know your DH will be super excited when you are both ready to add another to your family.

What a crazy whirlwind of emotions you must have gone through. From thinking this was your last, to contemplating dealing with Irish twins, to finding out it was a false positive...and all pp too! I'm guessing you're off to get that IUD now, eh? At least you now know you and DH wouldn't mind another at some point.

Yep, I have three things: 1) an appt Mon to get that IUD; 2) a box of condoms; 3) a mind that is slightly more open to having another child sometime in the future. Just not now!
