where to buy cloth dipes (online or storefront)?

we've been using prefolds and a mix of thirsties, bummis and blueberry covers on our 7 month old, and are pretty happy with them. we are just about to grow out of our size small bummis and duo wrap size 1s, and are reaching the limits of the prefold, so i need to buy new stuff.

i like my online retailer just fine, but i thought i'd ask on here if anyone has found good retailers that sell in or ship to canada, just to make sure i'm getting a good deal. when i ordered the first time, i honestly just picked a retailer that also had a storefront near my family so they could buy things for my baby shower. choosing diapers the first time was so overwhelming i just closed my eyes and went for it.

so, i'm looking for brands of prefolds, and a good price for thirsties (or similar) covers. any canadians want to suggest any other great products? also, i have one fleece lined hemp doubler that i got at random and love for how dry my baby feels in the morning. any suggestions of what other fleece-lined products to incorporate into our stash?

I got our (infant size) PFs at CottonBabies.com for about $1 each... I bought our Thirsties Duo Wraps (size 2) from Amazon. I think they were $12 each, but I only needed about 3 (we also have some BumGenius AIOs for daycare)

I don't really have a choice; I buy online.

There is ONE boutique sort of store that carries some Swaddlebees in my area, and I have purchased one from them, and may another, more because I like to support local business if I can.

Also try diapers.com - they often have $10 off of $50 coupons.

No idea about the shipping to Canada part though!

I have no choice, there's only one cloth diaper store within a 3 hour drive, and it's 45 minutes away. Here stores only sell Gerber Diapers.

Canadian Shipping

Make certain that anything shipped to Canada from the US is sent USPS, not through a courier. The couriers charge crazy brokerage fees.

Every once and awhile you get dinged with duty on a USPS package, but it rarely happens and duty is not bad anyway.

all the following are canadian. I priced things out a few months ago and it's cheaper to buy canadian.

my fave (storefront has actually got a great selection, website is falling behind but you can call them or facebook)

some more I have bought from locally:

bigger selections (online):

thank you for all your suggestions. i've been buying from sogreenbaby.com. i think the prices might be lowest there that i've found so far, but some of the other suggestions have a wider selection.

I've ordered from Jamtots and by nature. Both were really good.

I adore www.snootybootydiapers.com. She's in the US, but her shipping to Canada is very reasonable. I've found that when you add on shipping, it can be cheaper to buy from the states.

I also really like chiquitababy.com, but I've only bought carriers from her.

I ordered mine online from a store located in Prince George, British Columbia.

I am going to give another vote for www.bynature.ca  they were very fast at shipping, ordering was easy and support is very good.

Sadly often the prices are better at US online retailers than their Canadian counterparts.  I've used Sew Crafty Baby (free shipping to Canada over $45 and under that it's $2) and Vermont Country Baby (free shipping to Canada under 4 lbs).  Now the fact that you are wanting prefolds makes it a bit more tricky because they are so heavy and thus expensive to ship.  Have you had any luck getting used ones on Craigslist if you're ok with used ones?  Green Mountain Diapers does ship to Canada but it's ridiculously expensive.

I also agree to make sure they are sent USPS - UPS and FedEx always seem to have duty added plus their crazy high brokerage charges which defeats any savings.  Items sent USPS are handled by Canada Post once they cross the border into Canada and while they sometimes have duty (esp. on high $$$ value packages) it's much better overall.

I like bynature.ca too. Also peekaboobottoms.com. Not sure if peekaboobottoms has any prefold deals.
