..if so, lets talk about them

Wyatt is still all over the place with naps. He sometimes will take cat naps all day and rarely will he surprises us with a few lonnnng naps. He does have a pretty steady bed time of 7:30 and he sleeps until 1am when he wakes to eat, again at maybe 4 and he's up at either 6 or 7.

Lots of smiles, coos, and he's generally a happy guy

Daniel is 3 months old this weekend! I can't believe it, time has flown by. He's been STTN for over a month now which is fantastic for my sanity. He's sitting up in a Bumbo chair which he LOVES because he loves to look at my face. He even sometimes seems distressed in the Moby because what he really wants is to sit in the stroller so he can look at me and we can talk.

We're struggling a little with his reflux and finding a formula that is working for us. We were using an organic formula which I was really happy with... but baby didn't poop! After weeks of hoping it would get better, it started to make his reflux worse so the doctor suggested soy. Well that got a big thumbs down. Daniel went on a hunger strike until I gave him some Enfamil. It makes me so angry that I even have to deal with this and I couldn't just breastfeed him like a normal person (I couldn't breastfeed after my reduction). I couldn't find donor milk and this feeding thing has been the hardest thing I've had to deal with so far. Whoever said bottlefeeding was easy never fulling bottlefed a baby!

My little guy is 3 months this weekend too!

His naps are also erratic, and he doesn't sleep for a longer than 30 min unless he's with me, in the wrap, or if I lay down with him. He sleeps well at night, down around 930-10, eat at 12 when I go to bed (night owls we are!), then again around 430, and we'll usually get up around 8.

He loves observing the world- we've tried the bumbo, but he'll slide down to the side; he prefers his vibrating bounce chair or his play mat (he gets very excited about the playmat). He also spends a lot of time talking, if not to me, then to himself, he loves to hear his own voice! He HATES the car and every time I click his seat into the base he starts to fuss, unless he's sleeping (he doesn't mind the seat itself though). This is a new development, and it's getting annoying to hear everyone say "Oh, I bet he'll fall asleep in the car, all babies love cars!" ... not mine, lol! I think he gets bored. I try to put amusing things for him to touch and look at, but it rarely works.

And he's BIG! I love that guy.

HeckedyPeg -
Sorry your little guy doesn't like the car - my ds was like that for the first year or so - fortunately my 2.5 month old dd is completely different. However, she is still on pretty much no schedule, except she gets lots of energy in the evening, and does not go to sleep until 11:00 atnight or so - frustrating because it doesn't allow me any time to get anything done!!! I'm back to work though, so I will take whatever time with her I can get. My son did not sleep well at night either, but she seems to be doing better - she will sleep 4-5 hours at time, and last night slept almost 6!

I have one! My little guy is 3.5 months, and sounds very much like yours. He's all over the nap map, usually lots of 45 minute ones and occassionally one good 2.5 hour one. He's "talking" lots, smiling and trying to laugh, which is just super adorable. He's only awake for 1.5 hours before he's ready to sleep again though, so our days seem to be filled with lots of bouncing on the exercise ball for short naps. He does want to be done for the day though around 8, and sleeps a good 5-6 hours before waking to eat, which is lovely compared to my others when they were babies. Are your babies able to hold toys reliably yet? Mine isn't really able to grasp stuff very much, and if he gets hold of it, he usually bonks himself in the face with it.

I have one too! Sam is 14 weeks now, hit his 3 month birthday last Thursday. He's doing great. Has learned to roll over, which has made independent napping a possibility. I nursed him just now, got him drowsy, plopped him in the crib. With a teensy squeak of protest, he flopped over on his stomach and conked out. Give it a few more weeks and I'll be confident enough to nap myself during this time, instead of checking every five minutes to make sure respiration is still occuring!

He's also SO strong! Diaper changes are already an adventure and he loves to be pulled to standing, likes the Bumbo and generally likes to be moving as much as possible. He likes toys, but only the ones that dangle from the playmat. He's really into grabbing those. But if you hand him a rattle, he holds it for sec and lets it go. Loves to make faces in the mirror and go for walks in his Mei Tei.

I'm getting him onto a nap schedule, greatly helped by his new ability to roll over. We've got a mid-morning (shorter) and an early afternoon (longer). Bedtime is between 7:30 and 8. We do pajamas and nursing while I read him a story. He generally goes about 4-5 hours (on a good night) and then shorter stretches for the rest. Last night was particularly good. It was about five then about 3.

He just hit 12 pounds, but is pretty tall for his age. We're going to be getting a weight tonight at my bf mom's group.

Me!

DS turned 3 mo on Sat. He's 14 lbs 4 oz!

Sleep is getting a little better - he's doing a GREAT stretch - like 8 or 9 pm till - get this ... 3:30 am!!!! BUT (and you know there is always a but ..) after that it's pretty much a catastrophe.

Sometimes he'll be awake for an hour before he falls back asleep. Sometimes it takes an hour of nursing and rocking to get him back down. Who knows - every night is different.

Other than that he's just yummy and cute! I'm back to work (I WAHM as a writer) at least one afternoon a week with a sitter and whenever else I can.

Not holding a toy, rolling over yet - but tons of smiles laughter and "talking!" Will only sleep in the car if older sis is holding his binky in.

Trying to remember to enjoy and appreciate this stage - hard as it is at times - especially since this is my last baby!

I've got a 3 month old! She's the sweetest thing--loves to babble for minutes and minutes on end, smiles and giggles constantly, and kicks so hard all the time it is super-hard to get her diapers on and off...

She is just a joy! And a big girl, too--she is already over 15 pounds and wearing 9-12 month clothing, and is not going to fit in her mini cosleeper much longer (we bedshare a lot, especially for naps but sometimes she squirms so much that I don't really sleep well).

Sigh... I love my little cutie. I could just kiss her and snuggle and nurse her all day!
