7-month-old DS - is a toddler toilet seat okay?

Last few days I've been trying to transition DS from his BBLP to his sister's padded toilet seat. He's a bigger lad and seems to fit (doesn't fall down the hole!) and it's far easier on my back and for cleanup. We've caught some pees this way -

Is there any reason NOT to do this that I'm missing?

I don't see why its a problem. Obviously you're with him, monitoring the situation, right? I would imagine he might have more danger of falling off or something?

Don't toss the BBLP though- it will be nice when he's walking and moving towards some independence but isn't anywhere near getting on and off the big toilet yet.

Yep, I hold him on.

Good point about the potty though - I'll make sure it doesn't get put far away!
