making up a lmp with my dates ?

I just poas 2 days ago and got a POSITIVE...YIPPEE>.....
my cycle has been erratic lately so I wasn't really even keeping track of too much. I HAVE been keeping track of cm, bd...but not temping.

ANYWAY, due to traveling, etc...there was only ONE day that we BD and could have possibly conceived...that was Sept 6.

If I plug my lmp into due date calc it says 6/7/11
If I use the day I know for conception, it says 5/30/11.

What should I do for dr appt when they ask me dates? Only asking because we do have hx of losses between our dc, and i know they will send me for early u/s, etc...and would love to have accurate dates - not off that WHEEL !

HOW do you make up an accurate, false lmp ?

Well, the wheel assumes that you conceived 14 days after the first day of your last menstrual period. So, if you want your due date to reflect actual conception, August 23rd is the date for your lmp that you should give them (I'm basing that on a Sept. 6th conception). However, because first time moms tend to give birth a week or two late (or even longer), if you think your doctor might possibly pressure you into an induction, having an extra week can be quite a plus for you! Not to mention the nagging phone calls from family and friends, ie. "haven't you had the baby yet?" If I were you, I'd want that extra week, but it's up to you Hope that helps!

Keep in mind that the day you BD may not be the same as the day of conception. With the right cervical mucus, etc., you may have conceived up to 5 days AFTER you BDed. In that case, your DD would be ~6/4. If that's the case, I'd just go with your LMP, or shift it a few days as you wish.

Sperm are crazy little buggers. Definitely if this is your first just smudge the date back a bit or stick with your real LMP for a later due date. No one will freak if you go into labor at 38 or 39 weeks but some people start to get nervous if you haven't had the baby by the *designated date*

I was just at the midwives two days ago trying to figure out my chart. I got an early ultrasound that kind of gave me a crazy early EDD. However, I was nursing and my postpartum periods had been kind of crazy.

The midwife was convinced by when I got a positive pregnancy test. She "assumed" that you get the positive test at 4 weeks. Although, this might put you earlier that you'd like. It might just be a place to start from. So give yourself a LMP a week later than what that would give you?

Are you saying that you think you conceived VERY early in your cycle?

if that is the case, i would not correct it at all, it will be a week later than you may be (or less because you may have caught an egg up to 5 days later like folks have said)
if this is your first you will often go late and the less pressure will be good, and yeah now-a-day no doc blinks an eye about going early.

i would go so far as to be clear that you know exactly when your LMP was and fight any urge they have to assign you a new date even if you think it may actually be more correct.

give yourself the extra time, most folks that "adjust" their LMP it is the other way than you are talking about, its because they O'd way later than CD14, not earlier, the kind of error you have is the good kind!
