quantity of EBM past 12 mo & freezer stash strategy

here's the situation:
i'm going to wean from pumping at 12 months. i'm counting down the seconds - only 19 more weeks to go!
i plan to nurse as long after that as my dd would like (hopefully a long time!)
i've got a large freezer stash, some of which is earmarked for the milk bank and some of which i have frozen for dd (with the option to donate it if we don't use it)

my question:
if we still nurse 3ish times per day after 12 mo, how much EBM do you think dd will end up drinking at childcare?
i figure if i've got the milk, i'll send it, rather than having her drink cow's milk.

my goal is to send EBM with her for around 6 months, until she's 18 months.

i'm trying to calculate how much milk i'll need for that 6 month period.
for instance: 22 school days per month x 6 mo x 4oz per day = 528 oz

once we get to a year, i'll donate whatever i have above and beyond what i need to get to the 6 month mark.

Wow, that's hard to guess. Every toddler is different. I'd suspect she'd still like a bottle before nap (I think my husband kept giving our toddlers bottles to help get them to sleep until sometime between 18 months and 2 years). Beyond that, it depends on how much she's eating solid-wise. Your daycare could definitely encourage her to eat other foods instead of drinking your milk (if she's still nursing 3 or more times a day and getting a bottle or two, she doesn't "need" other milk). But it's probably more a question of whether or not you want her daycare provider to encourage her to give up any other bottles she gets. She'd probably be perfectly happy to continue drinking your milk, either in a sippy cup or bottle, as long as it's offered.

You must have a BIG freezer - that's a lot of milk!
