facing out in a wrap?

Is this possible? Babe LOVES to look at the world but is only just shy of three months so needs head support. I used to put her in more of a cradle hold (is that what it's called?) so she was sideways, but it seems not to work now that she's bigger. I'm sure it's still possible but there's something I'm missing. Any ideas on helping babe see the world a bit and still be cozy and supported?

What kind of wrap do you have? If it's a woven (not stretchy, moby type) you can do a high back carry.

With a stretchy wrap, you can do a facing out carry, but you have to be careful to make sure baby has butt lower than knees, which makes for a not so comfy carry for mama. Here is an example from the hugabub site: stretchy wrap positions

Otherwise, you might want to check out the Beco Gemini that just came out. It's a SSC where babe can face out.

My wrap is woven (a didy). I know I need to get up the courage for the back carry....anything for the front, though, as well, that may be more like the buddha baby poses one can do in a pouch/sling?

Have you tried froggy-ing your babe's legs then facing her out?

With a woven wrap, you have quite a few wrapping variations for a hip carry. On your hip your DD would have a slightly better vantage point, but still be able to put her head down to rest if needed. A high back carry would be good too, but the hip carry might have less of a learning curve for you.
