DD is 28 months and she's been sleeping on a mattress in our room right next to our bed. She's been sleeping there for about a month now but the past 2 weeks she will not sleep through the night. she wakes and wants me to hold her hand, scratch this and that and snuggle. Now this wouldn't be a huge deal If she would actually go right back to sleep but she doesn't and as soon as I let go of her hand she wakes again crying for me to hold her hand. This happens about 2-4times a night.I'm 17 weeks pregnant btw and completely zombie woman during the day.

So this last week DH has taken over he goes and lays with her most of the night. But she's waking even more to ask him to snuggle, play with her hair etc. I can hear this so needless to stay I'm still not sleeping! She's awake even more at least 6 times last night! To me this is just getting ridiculous but I'm not sure exactly how to handle the situation???? I know I want her in our room but this is really taking a toll on both of us. All 3 of us need sleep

exhausted as well

I just wanted to say that I am in the same boat right now and at a complete loss as well.

My daughter is almost 26 months and for the past week has been waking constantly and doing the same thing as your DD, she will not just go back to sleep, she tosses and turns, asks for food, water, a diaper change, you name it, ugh!! So I end up being awake for an hour or more sometimes because it is hard for me to go back to sleep after being fully awakened.

So, you are not alone; I wish I had something to offer you but obviously I am just as clueless. I am hoping some other moms have some suggestions!

Best wishes,
Janine

ps. my dd has also been napping for only an hour!!! what is going on???

Awe...it's so frustrating! Could it be 2 year molars? I may have to check her mouth. But then again she doesn't seem to be in pain. Thanks for posting it does help to know I'm not the only one going through this
