We have a 5 yr old girl that lives next door and she loves to come over and play with my 3 yr old and see the baby. Last night she was here and the baby was signing for milk and I said, "I see you. I know you want milk. Let me finish getting this diaper on you." And she asked if she could feed him his milk. I said, "No, honey, he drinks mama milk from me." She pointed to her own chest and said, "From there?" I told her that that was correct. And I sat down and nursed the baby from the left side.
Today she was back and "helping with the baby" and the baby wanted to nurse and I latched him on the right. She looked at me funny and said, "Is the baby drinking on that side?" I said, "Yep. Both sides make milk." And she replied, "Oh, I thought that side made juice and the other side made milk!"
