Keeps pulling my hair...

Thread Starter
DS has been pulling my hair for about a month. There are times when it seems sweet, figuring out the hair that is on my head.
and then it gets hard.
and then it gets forceful.

I also think it's the ONE thing that I've, so far, had a comment about. I don't comment much on destroying the living room; taking apart the shelves. But I do comment on, NO, don't pull mommy's hair. No.. really, don't pull my hair. Here, look at this toy.. distraction distraction. But if I'm not quick enough, he'll really go for my hair 4-5 times before I find something more interesting.

It's the only time I say NO.
He says NO with books and with Food (shaking his head side to side, not the word). I don't know that he's gotten the concept, he's just over a year old. But he can shake his head No to thing he doesn't want.

He gets that I'm adamant about it; certainly that it gets attention. And I'm sure why he keeps attempting it.

Ideas on stopping this?

I had to wear ponytails for a long time. I still do, but now it is because I am lazy.

I would give one warning. "Don't pull Mommy's hair. That hurts Mommy." And then if he does it again I would put him down. This is the same approach I tae with hitting. If you want to cuddle with Mommy, you can't hurt Mommy.
