Growing out of "one size" cd??

I bought 20 kawaii baby cd's on ebay maybe 10 months ago, it was $120 for the lot, including 40 inserts. So obviuosly a great price and they are holding up better the two bum genius 3.0 that I have. Anyway the issue is Ds is growing out of them? They are supposed to be one size and have velcro sides. Ds is 16 months, 33 1/4 in. and 26 pounds, he has a really long torso. I was not planning on having to buy any other diapers but it looks like now I will have to.
Any suggestions on lg. cd's?? Preferably cheap ones I have a Knicker Nappies that I really like but the snaps are hard because ds doesnt sit still for two seconds and they are not cheap!!
TIA for any suggestions.

From what I hear Fuzzi Bunz large size are supposed be pretty big. They're not cheap but you can get their seconds which are priced better here:

are you sure he is growing out of OS diapers? i've never used the kawaii ones you are talking about but my kiddo has the same stats almost (33 inches, 26 pounds, long torso) and we have no issues with OS diapers getting too small. They fit LOWER, but hasn't been a problem. it actually looks more comfy for her having diapers slinging under her belly. When I was first starting out with CDs, I thought she was growing out of the OS too fast and was confused but it turns out I just thought they needed to fit differently than they needed to. I had moved her up to the full setting and eventually moved her back down a setting because it actually fit just fine if I put it on right. The full setting wasn't a PROBLEM, but once I figured out the tricks for how to place the diaper on the back and how to pull it up in the front, it was nice to go down again and know she had more diaper to grow into. Plus, she hasn't grown much which helps the diapers fit longer since from 1 to 2 years, kiddos often don't grow much anyway.

How small are they compared to the 3.0s?

I have one Kawaii and it's pretty big. It's possible you may need to adjust your idea of 'fit'. My kid is 36" tall and has a freakishly long rise and this diaper works great on her. Now... she has outgrown the Rumparooz, which makes me very sad. And by outgrown I mean that the diapers no longer even remotely cover her butt crack. Plumbers crack on a toddler is bad news man...

The front does sit lower but that isn't really my issue, the issue is he is getting a "plumbers crack". His heiny hangs out in the back which it never did before??

That is weird because my almost 3 year old who is average to larger can wear the kawaii one size.
