help me figure out this book series.

Right before we moved in March I read a book that was in a series and, I lost the paper that I wrote down the authors name on.

The series has two sisters that are mirror twins in it. They solve mysteries together. One of them has a early teen-age daughter and the sisters live next door to each other in a duplex or apartments. Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Those do not seem like the right ones, though I probably will end up reading them too. So thanks for that.

After thinking about it a bit more I am almost certain that the authors last name was somewhere near the middle of the alphabet, because I am pretty sure that I found these books while browsing the shelves near the Sharyn McCrumb books.

The Midnight Twins by Jacquelyn Mitchard comes to mind, but it doesn't quite fit all the pieces.
