Hi there.
My name is Francesca, I'm Italian, although I've been living outside Italy for the last 10 years and my husband is a Chinese naturalized American.
Last year we from London to Monaco.
Now I'm 20 weeks pregnant and start really getting worried about giving birth here.
My first son was born in London and birth ended up in a CS. Regardless I don't have any regret about it and I think midwives and doctor were great...Here I had a total different feeling.
I contacted a doula in Nice, we should meet next week. She also pointed me to a doctor very favourable to VBACs.
My husband is not making things easier. He would like me to stay at the hospital in Monaco just because it's the nearest to us and he thinks few people equals better care. I'm really scared that I will be given very little chances to try a VB.
Is it possible to have a VBAC at home in France? If I ever get to the point of convincing my husband that it's a safe option...And in case I go to the hospital, does a birth plan have any legal value?
The other thing is that I will not want to stay long in a hospital. I know here it's 3 day for a normal delivery, 5 days for a CS. In London after a CS I was released from hospital after 36 hours...I wouldn't want to leave my older child for so long. What to do? Sign to releave the doctors from responsabilities?
Thanks
Francesca
