I won’t into the whole history of my mean evil boss but she has finally gotten my team out of her department. She has been trying for 2 years. But how she is telling us the news is so #$^@* up ! About 6 weeks ago during our monthly one on one meetings she told me that she had buy off from the other department to take our team. But had no other details like which team, who our supervisor would be or when we’d move. She told this same info another co worker but skipped our third coworkers meeting and never bothered telling her.
So this week she sends an invite to all 3 of us for a short meeting to update us. But one of us is out of the office and will back the next day. She tells us keep the meeting and she will update the other later. At the meeting all she is says is…. We have buy off from the other department (knew this) but it’s going to be global (new info), don’t know which team, who your supervisor will be or when it will happen (ok nothing new there). But probably soon like mid October. And *might be* this certain team. Which we’d already guessed.
That’s it? Couldn’t wait til co worker was back to tell us?. And she forbade us to tell our coworker, so she could do it personally. Whatever. We’re all like 40 years old and work for software company. This isn’t JiffyBurger.
So I tell one of my work friends all this. AND she IM’s me back in 30 minutes and tells me which team we’re going to, who our supervisor is and that we’ll probably move next week!
She knows this because she has regular meetings with the department and they announced in the meeting. In fact it sounds like it was decided about a month ago. So great. My boss knows all this info and isn’t telling us. WHY????
Because she is a mean mean person. In fact just the next day when the other coworker went into the boss’ office she totally mentioned which team we’d on, not just “guessing” as she said the day before. So yeah she is keeping this stuff to be mean and controlling. She always loves to hide info and catch people offgaurd. Not going to miss that.
