*~* Bitter Sushi Ladies - October 2010 Thread! *~* - Page 3

luminesce: Yes, long luteal phases suck. Mine is usually 16/17 days, and fertility friend puts it at 15 sometimes, but I think those cycles it usually has my O date one day late. Sometimes it's 18 days. Horrors.

enigo: I think if I were in your shoes I'd take the aspirin, too. I went back and read the studies m_b_a posted and they didn't pertain to people with clotting disorders, and it does make sense, as Apricot said, that they might help. And your son is beautiful--I especially like the pic of him at the top of the wall--he's like a little elfin child!

Kyamo: I know the long LP is a good thing, if something is trying to implant. I tell myself that, I do, but it doesn't help 12 DPO when I know I'm not pregnant and I know I have days and days ahead of me to hope and pray for a pregnancy even though I know better. I hope you got your O!

Taxlady: Hehe on the epsom salt baths. Take advantage of your DH wanting to draw you a bath--feel like a pampered queen!

jenger: Better luck this cycle on your fertility monitor!

Apricot: You're so funny.

AFM: 7 DPO. Temp dipped yesterday and shot way up this morning. If we'd had good timing I would wonder if my chart were going triphasic (which means nothing, I know, but still is something to obsess over).

Hehe! I HAVE been having some weird nipply pains. Other t han that breasts don't hurt at all. They used to just ache in the TWW before acupunture. Aren't they supposed to? IN the past 5 months or so since I started regular acupuncture visits, they barely get sore.
enigo: That makes sense w/the aspirin. I'm the opposite. I seem to bleed too easily, especially during my LP. My gums bleed and I bruise easily. It sucks, sometimes I get a big bruise from doing something dumb... like... sitting on my foot. It fluctuates though. The last few cycles haven't been bad.

I love the pictures! My DS is about 9 months younger than yours - he was behind me when I pulled up the pics. When he saw the paper bags, he said, 'I want to do that!'

AFM: 8 DPO, BFN. Breasts WERE sore 1-5 DPO but not now.

Miriam - Thanks for all the research! I too bought baby aspirin, but I am not going to bother with it anymore.

enigo - I know you said you don't do cutsie but I beg to differ. Those photos are wicked cute!

Taxlady - I love epsom salt baths!! And it is cheap. It definitely eases your muscles. It's also a laxative (either by drinking or in an enema). It says "laxative" all over the carton and when I buy it I sort of giggle to myself. That's a lot of laxative!

Sorry for all the ladies in the TWW who aren't feeling positive about things. I have hope!! We're totally getting a BSL positive soon (sly--where are you?)!

THANKS to everyone with the birthday wishes. It is kind of a hard one for me. Oh, I need to change my signature...

Apricot- hehe

Maurine- Happy Bday!

Taxlady- don't know about epsom salt, but i love me a sea salt bath...

enigo- ha ha your son. is. adorable. No wonder you want another.

kyamo- thanks for the enlightenment re 0 and 0-1

OK sorry I'm crappy on personals today. Just feelin' wiped. Today was my long run day, and then i had attack of the shakey muscles/feeling cold/squeegey intestines/super sleepy/slight nausea, which happens once in awhile after running. Fine but it led to a kind of anxiety attack. Rest, tea, and rescue remedy and aconite helped a ton. still don't know why it happens some days not others.

Today i think 3 dpo.

Loving this thread! I'm still here...
Sounds like we will have some Bfp's in the group this month!!!
We uped the clomid this month to 100mg. My chart says I
O'ed on day 13. Dh worked late that day. We did bd on day 12, but I don't have much hope for this month what makes it worse is I started taking progestrone for my short lp. It makes me feel so pregnant. (tired, moody, nausous, headaches). But you always have to give it your best shot!
Wow, sorry to be sooo negative and bitter! Last month I was sooo confident that it was my month, I guess I am going the other route this month! (if I think it won't happen, maybe it will)!

And hey, make DH do an SA! It's not like it's hard or not enjoyable or anything... it's pretty much the best medical test anyone could do ever. lol.
Yea, I would make him to a SA too, if anything, just to make him participate.

My DH has a hard time "performing" occasionally. He never had a hard time with a SA. Hmmm,

These are the kind of pictures I post of DS..I don't do cutesie...

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6197818_n.jpg He did that himself

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._3929288_n.jpg People wonder why I don't get anything accomplished

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6710554_n.jpg

Those are pretty cute, especially the bag one... definitely not cutsey

I am thinking that I am going to do the baby aspirin because of the MC. I am still bleeding, and the blood is still coming out as clots. It has been over 2 weeks since the D&C. Maybe I have a clotting issue. Plus, don't perfectly healthy people take it to prevent a heart attack?

Happy Bday Maurine. Hope it got better for you.

borobaby - The day before O is great! No reason to be discouraged about not making O day, if you got O-1.

AFM- temp is up again, yay. Looks like I O'd on Friday, so no more feeling forced to DTD this month!
Yea, Boro, I think I read somewhere that 0-1 is actually better chances than O day.

enigo-- those photos are hilarious! DS is so cute, what a little towhead! I wonder if I'll have blonde babies because DH and I were both blond when we were really little. Not THAT blond, though! I bet your son will keep the blond for a while.

Hmm, that's true... I guess it can't hurt to take it. I just won't expect it to be magic or anything

I think lots of guys have occasional performance issues. I won't say anything specific because someone would kill me dead if he thought I was even suggesting anything to indicate that HE might have ever had issues like that... but I can say that if he ever did, they've been left behind in the dust. Just took some practice and time. But of course this is all hypothetical and not at all true of anyone I know... :1whistle

Hey, I got a +OPK today! So my five thousand follicles are actually doing something! Hmm. I wonder which one(s) it is(are)... DH and I were in the car yesterday driving home from a friend's house and he randomly asked me what I thought of this one girl name, and we both loved it, so it's officially Girl #2's name now. So we're all set, minus some middle-name finagling, if we end up with a single boy, single girl, boy-boy twins, girl-girl twins, or boy-girl twins. Never hurts to be prepared! I can only imagine that's why this is taking so long... plenty of time to prepare the perfect baby names.

SimplyRochelle - on the new cycle and on being misunderstood

jenger - If hiding people on FB makes you feel better, then by all means do it. I can't click sometimes on the recent rash of "omg I'm PREGNANT" threads on my local AP board. I swear it feels like EVERYONE is pregnant right now. Seriously. And they're all my friends. It's really wearing on me to have to be happy for everyone. Also, I'm PMS'ing.
And for a new cycle.

Kinza - that really sucks that you missed O It's always harder to wait when you have little hope, esp. when your chart does hopeful things!

slylives - Congratulations mama!

~AA~ - Welcome and may your stay with us be short!

enigo - love the pics! What a cutie

AFM - I'm 10 or 11DPO and not hopeful at all. (sigh) And I am wicked PMS'ing - we've had my sister and her 9 month old here, and my almost-3-yr-old has been having sharing problems. It's all I can do to remain patient with him. This morning I actually thought, "and I want to bring a BABY into the house?!"

My parents were both blonde as children, but had medium brown hair as adults. I was born with black hair, it fell out as a baby and grew back in white blonde. It darkened, but I am still blonde.

Yeah same here both my parents and I were blond as adults (more of a golden blond not white). We are all brunette now.
However DH is blond and all of his brothers and sisters had the same children of the corn look when they were little. Now some have varying degrees of brown hair as adults, but 3 of them stayed blond.

I'm opposite- my parents are both Carmel blondes. But I'm brunette. Black hair as a newborn, fell out, was carmelly, and brown by age 4.
My dh is blonde. He was white blonde as a child. Well, after he grew hair. He was bald for a long time! There are no brunettes in his line. All marry brunettes, but breed blonde children.

DH was blooooond as a baby... as was my only full-blooded sibling and my mother. I had jet black hair... so I had no clue what Mae would end up with. Turns out her hair is just brown with a bit of red to it. DH says its dark brown but to me its light brown (my hair now is dark brown, almost black. Hers is much lighter)

One of the biggest things that I always wondered when TTC and pregnant with her is what color hair and eyes our babies would end up with! Still waiting to find out eyes...

we both come from blue eyed families, strongly blue eyes down both sides of our families yet neither of us have blue eyes! He has green and I have gray! Of course, Mae was born with blue eyes... but so were my first two and they have hazel now (their father was 25% Native American with hazel eyes as well... so they ended up gorgeous with light hazel eyes, easily tanned skin and brown hair. Just caramel head to toe!)

I had blond hair as a baby, it went reddish very briefly, then dark brown for a few years, and now it's medium brown (when I'm not dyeing it!) DH's hair was super blond until he was about two, then it got slowly darker and now it's nearly black. I have super blue eyes and his are between green and hazel. I predict blue- or green-eyed kids with medium to dark brown hair, but maybe starting out blond

Hi everyone... I don't "do personals", normally, although I do read every word and think of you and pray for you.

I got to hold a 10-day-old baby yesterday. (It is often really hard for me to hear pregnancy news but this friend has been though a LOT, so not much in this case.) My dh will be the godfather. It was so wonderful: Dd (5.5) would touch the baby's hair and the baby wpuld close her eyes every time in a cute way, like she really enjoyed it. Dd would be so good with a baby... she has always loved them.

I took soy isos for the first time (50 mg for 3 days and 75 for the last two). Today I have nice looking FM. (Only you would understand the joy! ha ha.) Throughout the past couple of years I have had anything from almost no mucus to this really odd jello-looking stuff, so this is truly a joyful day to me. I have been taking EPO and drinking green tea, so I am not sure whether soy has done anything or not. I am also on a ton of vitamins. It does give me hope, though.

Dh just called to tell me that he has to stay at school overnight. We knew about it but forgot. I told him to get himself home tonight, somehow... Ha ha. He did understand and will try.

enigo - Your son looks like such a character! I love the photos.

Ok, going straight to me because I had a very, very faint BFP on a Dollar Tree test this morning!!! I think I'm about 11 DPO, but totally unsure. Googling away here, but please remind me that false positives are very uncommon, even on cheapie tests.

Will test again tomorrow. Maybe I'll even pick up a more expensive test on the way home from work.

omg!! Everything is crossed for you - come on baby!!!
And yes, false positives are MUCH more rare than false negatives.

afm - either 11 or 12DPO, temp is still above coverline but I'm feeling very PMSy, almost crampy, so I wouldn't be surprised if AF decided to show up today.
