Tickletoes - check it out, I've posted your beautiful chart!
P.S. Where did you find that neat time tracker you have at the top?

There's a lot of positive energy in this thread right now.

I'm gearing up for Otime - I'm feeling really good. Even this morning, my Crohn's Disease settled down and let me sleep LATE! I feel like my chart is even more crazy than usual, but I'm going to take that as a good sign.

I'm missing ValH - I know she went on vacation - but here's a shout out to her, I hope you're having a good time!

Anymore of our September BFP's ready for me to move them to GRADUATES?! (Even though it's going to mess up my taxlady-left-side-brain color pattern )

Thanks for posting my chart. Is it beautiful? This is my first month charting... I'm hoping my temp won't drop any more.

I found the ticker somewhere on the FF site... I think I did some clicking around the left side menu before I found a link that looked fun. I might have had to change a setting on my homepage as well. Sorry I can't be more specific, I'm still figuring out that website!

So, I'm hoping to bring you all hope . . . tested this morning, and BFP! I am having a hard time believing I have a baby in my belly. I had major twinges yesterday that I was positive indicated AF . . . and when I tried to pick up straw bale number 194 (of 200) I felt weak and a little sick and faint. So I stopped. Then I fell asleep in the truck on the way home. Now as long as those twinges weren't just my body deciding that I was too crazy to be pregnant (who moves 200 straw bales by hand, when pregnant?), I'm going to have a baby! My husband and I were really both hoping someone else would get this month's baby supply, as the timing is really not great, but we'll take it, since it's here!

I feel a bit like that lucky jerk that drops in and gets pregnant right away. It seems I have baby dust to spare, so I'll send it all towards my TTC buddies. Good luck, ladies . . . I hope some of you join me in June's DDC!

No testing for me this month... decided to pay a visit. On to the next month!

Congratulations, Hykue! Don't feel funny about posting it--we're always glad when anyone gets a BFP!

Hykue! HOORAY!!
There is no reason to feel bad - a BFP is truly good news for all of us TTC! It happens and helps the rest of us remember that is does and will! 200 straw bales, you are a super woman! That little baby is going to be strong like her mom, you'll be able to say - the first thing you did was help mommy load hay!
I hope you have a healthy 9 months with a lot of the 30 somethings joining you.. would you like me to move you to the graduates list?
Thanks for all the congratulations, I'm glad I have 9 months to adjust to the idea - after 8 years of wishing it made sense to get pregnant, it's a big change to think about actually having a kid!

Yes, please move me to the pregnant graduates, I'm feeling pretty good about this. I'm planning to tell my parents and sister right away, as soon as they call!

Congratulations Hykue! What wonderful news!

So sorry about AF showing up for you Tickletoes. I hope things happen for you next cycle.

AFM, I'm still waiting. Temp wasn't up this morning, so I am not sure if I ovulated or not. I don't know if any of you ladies have this problem, but I find it difficult to interpret my CF when hubby and I are BDing every day. I found it much easier to tell what was going on when we were avoiding getting pregnant. Ugh, so frustrating! But there is still hope for this cycle

Hi all! I'm just dropping in quickly - please move me to 2ww. 4DPO here

CONGRATS HYKUE!!!! Send some baby dust my way, since we're so close
post #31 of 249
Congrats, Hykue! Those twinges were a pretty early sign for me that I was pregnant. They will probably continue for a while if you get up suddenly or lift something or, as happened with me last night, cough. I almost doubled over.

I got a positive OPK today on CD 12. I had brushed it off and forgotten about it after I POI- then DH thought we should "try" this morning and I figured, what the hell why not.. (thinking the OPK would be negative). When I found the positive stick I was delighted that the DH had mentioned it!

I know the +OPK doesn't mean I'm ovulating or that I ovulated, but if I normally O around the 15th is an early O something to be concerned about?
Just wanted to check in and say hi and congrats to all the BFPs!

DH got a fortune cookie in July that said "good news will come three months from now" and he saved it, so I hope this is our month, and yours too!

I had my +OPK yesterday, was not expecting it yet. I am still not doing BBT. I am so not a morning person, and I'm a teacher and I have to get up early anyway. So it's going to be a struggle when we need to do it. I have learned by using OPKs that our first few months TTC we were too early in our BD timing. I tend to O around CD 19-21.

Next month might be the time to start bbt, though, unless we're pg.

I'm back from vacation! It was great not to obsess about TTC for a while, but I sure did miss everyone! Taxlady - thanks for the shout out!

First of all, CONGRATS Hykue!!!!

Good luck to everyone this month!!! Hopefully there will be lots of Halloween BFPs.

AFM - CD12, just waiting to O. I don't normally O until around CD16 or 17, so I've got a ways to go... thankfully! The later O the better this month - I'm dogsitting in a different town than where we live, so DH is there, I'm here.... DTD is geographically impossible! We'll get to meet up on Wednesday and Friday, so hopefully those two days will be good timing. I haven't been doing OPKs this month. I've also been slack on my vitamins (had great intentions to up my supplements this month... yeah, didn't happen). Oh, and did I mention I have an upper respiratory infection and can barely go a minute without coughing... not exactly condusive to DTD either. So, long story short, not sure that this month is going to be it for us... everything seems to be working against us! But, if we get a BFN this month, at least I'll know why - bad timing, illness, and lack of supplements.

Oh, also wanted to say THANKS to Taxlady for the new thread.

HI VALH! Glad you're back - looks like we are cycle buddies again.
Maybe all you needed was a little break from thinking about the supplements and TTC. You know they always say - "It will happen".. I'm going to take your change of routine as a good sign.

Cool fortune cookie, Boots - I'll take that as a good sign too.

You know I was lurking on some other threads. Some ladies ask questions to keep their minds occupied or they talk a little more about themselves to get to know each other. Do you guys want me to come up with a few questions?
I don't want to be a boring threadkeeper..

How about this one - How did you come up with your screenname?

I'm so unoriginal - I wanted to ask a question so badly on MDC, but I had to sign up fast! So I had to think of something quick. In the morning, I put on my work clothes (usually some combination of black and drab) and it's like I change into a different person. My husband and I laugh and say.. ACCOUNTANT LADY! (In song..) (like I'm superman coming out of a phone booth)... I mainly do income taxes - so out of nowhere I chose - Taxlady. Now I sometimes look at my screenname and think.. nobody likes taxes.. who's going to want to be friends with the "Taxlady"?? (but honestly, my job is save the taxpayer from paying too many taxes to the furthest extent of the law).

Now.. what about you?

LivingSky - one double-sized packet of baby dust enroute to your location in T-3 . . . 2 . . . 1 and yowza! (Wow, I'm nerdy).
Taxlady - I don't think your name is unoriginal... Mine is super unoriginal. It's just part of my first name and my last initial (first name is Valerie, but some friends just call me Val). I also just wanted to come up with something quick so I could ask a question.

I finally picked up more OPKs today, at CD13. It was VERY close to positive, but not quite. I'm hoping my egg will hold off until at least Thursday, as I won't see DH until tomorrow evening at the earliest. If I O before that, we'll definitely be out for the month. I've been housesitting out of town since Sunday... talk about bad timing!

rubygirl's origins: if i have a girl, her name will be ruby. how abstract! haha. and the number is just one that i've always used from my first geocities website ages ago until now.

bootsvalentine ~ i gave up on temping. ha! it's too much to worry about and doesn't say much, in my opinion. i'm also one to hit the snooze button for half and hour before waking enough to temp and sleep late on weekends. so that probably negates it.

anyone else have trouble deciphering cm? i know there's a slight difference throughout the month, but i just can't figure it out. i have an easier time charting position. not really looking for advice here. (that would be weird.) just feeling a bit 'out of the loop' b/c i don't understand it. anyone out of the loop with me?
in other news, we don't think i got pregnant this first time. not surprising. but now we need to figure out how we're going to afford the next try. (the first was free except for a train ticket.) and only three months until we move cross-country! gah! stupid unhealthy known donor. *hmph*

rubygirl36 - I'm out of the loop with you. I can never quite figure out the fertile CM, and I've read all the online tutorials. Oh, well. I figure as long as I notice that there's more of it, and I'm doing the OPKs, I'll get it close enough. Not sure that's a good theory, though, considering I'm already in the double digits of months TTC...
I was really stymied by fertile CM at first, too. It took a few months charting before I was really able to recognize my body's patterns and figure out what fertile cm looked like for me, because everyone's a little different. For example, my EWCM isn't super stretchy--more liquidy, and not usually super clear.

My screen name is just someone who I was really close to in my childhood...not super imaginative. I hate coming up w/screen names.
