Thread Starter
We are pleased to introduce BathrobeGoddess.

She is the moderator of Healing Birth Trauma, Fertility, Life With a Babe and The Trading Post. BathrobeGoddess has been a member since 2001 and has been a moderator since 2007.

How did you first find Mothering? MDC?
I am a long time reader, since my 15 year old daughter was a baby, so I saw the ad in the magazine for MDC when it was first getting started. I've been hooked ever since!

What’s your favorite MDC forum?
I like to hang out in Family Safety and TTC. I love to see happy BFP posts in TTC and I enjoy reading about car seats in FS.

What keeps you coming back to MDC?

I love connecting to to other AP families all over the world. I feel much less isolated and "out there" in my parenting choices by hanging out on the forums.

Can you tell us a little bit about your family?
There are six of us! I have four children, girl, boy order, Laurelle age 15, Ori age 6, Yarrow age 3 and Linus 19 months. The youngest three are TV and video free. I'm very lucky to teach college course online so I can stay home and I am working on a PhD in Educational Leadership at Colorado State University. Actually, both my hsband and I are grad students, My dh Brice is working on a MA in Ethnic Studies as well. We live next to the foothills in Northern Colorado near Ft Collins (where both my dh and I went to jr high and high school) and I can't imagine living anywhere else!

Is there something that you do now that you probably never would have done if it weren’t for MDC?
Homebirth, I think I would have still supported it but not made the plunge myself!

Tell us something most don’t know about you.
I love to gamble, particularity play slots!

What are you most proud of?
That I am able to juggle all my balls without often letting one fall! I am the family organizer and I think everyone in my family gets equal attention from me. I even get to sew and knit sometimes!

Are you a night owl or an early-bird-gets-the-worm?
I'm an early bird by nature but a night owl by necessity!

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? What about now?
An opera or Broadway performer. I started college as a vocal music major. Now, I just want to train teachers how to be more developmentally appropriate and change the way we, as a nation look at child's play for the better! I'm a licensed early childhood teacher as well.

Do you consider yourself introverted or extroverted?
Introvert for sure!

Would you say you are neat or messy?
I would say I'm very balanced here, I don't go crazy either way.

Do you like to cook? What is your ideal meal?
I love to cook! I can'tsay I have an ideal meal but I am loving Ethiopian food and Vietnamese food at the moment

What's your favorite/go-to cleaning product?
water lol

What do you consider your worst vice?
coffee house lattes...I love them!

What’s sitting on your dining room table right now? Bedside table?
A serger and some of my dh's school papers are on our table. I don't currently have a bedside table because my youngest is side-cared there instead.

What's the last book you've read?
Writing Literature Reviews and Last Child in the Woods

Favorite all-time movie?
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Clerks run neck in neck

Favorite book?
Stranger in a Strange Land

Do you have other sites you enjoy participating/reading at?
facebook certainly has its claws into me lol

Do you have a favorite saying or personal motto?
"It will all be over soon!"
