Pictures of kids with CP? *Update w/pics of my kids*

Do any of you out there have pictures of your kids with CP?

Bot my kids have broken out in red bumps that are itchy. Ds has 2 that look like they are almost blisters on his legs but he has scratched them all on his body so I cant tell about them.

I am googling but the majority of the pictures online are worst case and I cant really get a good comparison. Thanks

Update: Back from the Dr. and both kids do indeed have cp.

Yup, chicken pox starts blistery like that, usually on the trunk then spreads to legs and arms by the next day.

My ds2 went to bed one night with no spots and by the time he woke up in the morning his whole belly was a 3d moonscape of blisters.

Calamine lotion dabbed on with a cotton ball feels nice as do showers or a bath in salty water. Here is a link to the UK health service info on the spots with a photo just like your dc's.

I hope you get through the next week without them feeling too unwells.

Thanks for the link to the picture. That definitely looks like what we have here. So far both kids are doing well just itchy.

DD did get the cp vax but ds did not. Yet dd has way more spots than ds but didnt have the throwing up and fever that ds did.

Right now I am just praying dh dosnt catch them since he has never had cp. He dosnt have any more sick days so if he has to miss work we will be really hurting for money.

He may very well be immune but his sister hadnt had them either and got them about 10yrs ago when she was in her 30's. She did fine though just itchy and really broken out.

Hope they feel better soon, and your DH doesn't get sick.

The kids are doing just fine. Playing like normal no fevers though dd got a bit nauseous last night. The bumps are still coming up and dd is still way worse than ds. For every 4 she gets he only gets 1.

She is more itchy in general especially across her shoulders where the worst of them are.

Dh makes me laugh he got a mask and when a kid walks through the room he slaps it on his face and tells them to hurry up and go.

I had the kids sleep on the pull out couch in the living room last night to make dh feel better. Ds still sleeps in our room and so does dd 99% of the time.

I am really thankful that the kids are doing this well and hope they continue to do so. At this rate they may get to go back to school the middle of next week.

If he is going to get it he has already had plenty of time to catch it as they were infectious even before the blisters appeared!

Here, it is considered ok to send kids out and about once all the blisters have dried and crusted. That takes about 5 days or so and at that point they are thought to be no longer contagious.

Yeah that is what the Dr. said about the rash. She said 24 hours after the last eruption had scabbed over.

I told dh that he had already been exposed more than likely but he is taking precautions any way just in case. It makes him feel better to do so.

I explained to him that while I find it amusing that he is using the mask and avoiding the kids like the plague that I in no way want him to catch them it would be bad in so many ways.
