Amy, congratulations on the baby girl!!! It's so nice hearing positive stories from people who were having trouble conceiving to then see them expecting babies!

Thanks! It took 9 cycles with 1 chemical in-between. And truthfully now it seems like it was no big deal, water under the bridge. Then, it was awful and I was a regular whiner on this thread. I guess what I mean is no matter how long it takes it will be so worth it! Just to let you know I took soy for the first time & got my bfp, just throwing that out there.

Callie - YAY for a great appointment! I hope this new plan helps you! I hope your spirits are up, and that you're feeling hopeful again .

Serena - that makes sense now. Hope your level is high!

Amy - congrats on the baby girl. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly.

AFM - nothing new, still waiting to O. Yesterday was my birthday (34!! already!), and I got a tattoo. I had the teddy bear one done almost 10 years ago, and had the rest added yesterday: http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...ny/tattoo1.jpg .

The top heart is for my miscarried baby. It's red & pretty sore, and the lines between the hearts will fade he said. And, it will leave room for any more children we have.

Callie-I'm glad to hear you like this RE. Good bedside manner is so important in a Dr. Hopefully you get as lucky as she did, and this new regimen works!

Serena-Hope your temps stay up! Nice to have a cycle buddy

Amy-Congrats on the girl. Hope you don't have any other complications.

Mollie-Cool tattoo! I had wanted to get one when I turned 30, but then chickened out. Maybe I'll get on next year.

AFM-10 dpo. I tested this morning and saw a very faint line. It was on a $1 store test, so I can't be sure it was a BFP. Could have just been the shadow line since it was so faint. I am so hoping it's a real line! Can't wait for tomorrow morning! Oh and Callie-I think we're headed to the fair today. Can't wait for some fried pickles and fried oreos!

Forgot to add that my symptoms are almost non-existent this month. The only unusual symptoms I have are that I am very sleepy (slept in yesterday and still took a 3 hour nap in the afternoon), and my allergies are horrible. Worse than they have been in a long time.

Amy - What are the complications?! Congrats on your girl though. Have you decided on a name? Oh, and thanks for letting me know about the injectibles. I might PM you about it at some point if you don't mind. Hopefully I'll do fine with the Clomid though. I hear what you're saying about it tricking your body into thinking it's going through menopause. I had a lovely hot flash last night. I haven't had one since I was pregnant with DS and I had forgotten how uncomfortable they can be!

callieollie - for you today! Please update us after your appointment. I hope you get some answers and you are able to get a plan in place.

Serena - I've been so bad about chart stalking this cycle, but I promise I'll go peek at your chart after I type this up. for you. I really hope you get your BFP this week. We need some October BFPs!

Mollie - How is sex fest going? It's great that you guys are having fun with it. That's the best. I'm really looking forward to it this month too. I was reading the estrogen side effects last night and it said it could increase or decrease sex drive. I hope it increases mine! That'd be fun. I love the tattoo. I'm glad you were able to get it! Oh, and Happy Birthday of course.

Emma - Oooh, post a picture! Or take another test! Seriously, how can you think there might be a line and not test again? I don't have that kind of patience. Enjoy the fair! I have to admit that the fried oreos were amazing. I kind of want to go back to the fair, just for more fried oreos.

AFM - I'm feeling so much more optimistic after the RE appointment. It's so nice to be doing something different. I really hope this works. The Clomid makes me feel a tiny bit dizzy and I had a hot flash last night, but so far it hasn't been too bad.

I am planning to temp this month, just so I know when I O, and so I can see if the meds are changing anything about my cycle. I was going to temp this morning, but DS woke up at 3:30 and didn't go back to sleep at 4:00. DH had gotten up with him and he (DH) threw a little tantrum when he came back to bed. I understand that he was just sleepy and grumpy, but it really pissed me off (probably b/c I was sleepy and grumpy too). I ended up going downstairs to sleep on the couch, but I barely got anymore sleep. Oh well. It was one of those fights that wouldn't have even been a fight, had it not been the middle of the night, you know?

CD 15 and sore breasts (very sore nipples too!) i wish i had recorded this on my FF last month b/c it happened at some point during my cycle and i'm curious at what point it was! oh well, i'll keep charting and figure it all out sooner or later! i also felt nauseated this morning and very emotional yesterday, so i'm thinking ovulation...either happened already or is going to happen or IS happening???
how is everyone? can't wait to find out what's happening with you, emski!

You can pm me anytime! I have been bleeding and spotting and contracting. The bleeding has been a few times, but the spotting is a regular thing, although today it's been 12 days since I've had any problems. I have a marginal placenta previa, which should correct itself, but probably where my bleeding is coming from. I get rechecked next Tuesday. So I have been on pelvic rest. As far as the contractions, I have my midwife a little freaked out because she said when you have already had a lot of babies your uterus can do very unexpected things very quickly. Or as she says "worst case you can go into labor and we can't stop it and you deliver a baby that is not yet viable." Um, yes that does seem like the worst case, thanks for the encouragement. So I am supposed to be resting and putting my feet up as much as I can. It's hard with an active family of 7. I was not doing so great emotionally about it all, but it's getting better now. I'm doing the best I can and hoping for the best. Sorry to hijack this thread with my woes!

Amy - hopefully you'll have a smooth rest of the pregnancy and your mind can be more at ease about it. It's hard to be fully relaxed when there's bleeding and contractions and everything else going on!

Emma - I'd be going crazy if I were you! This is why I can only use tests that say "pregnant" or else I'd drive myself crazy (well, that is, after using $ tree tests at first!).

AFM - my appointment went well. Most things looked good - estrogen, thyroid, FSH, LH, vitamin D, prolactin, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. But, I do have low progesterone. It sort of fluctuates abnormally throughout the cycle and the overall level is low too. So they gave me progesterone to insert vaginally starting after peak day (I think peak+3 but the outside of the bottle says P+5, so I'm not sure if I'm remembering incorrectly or if the pharmacy made a mistake). But anyway, I was so relieved to hear this. I was so afraid I was going to go in and they were just going to say I had bad eggs or something and was just out of luck. So I'm feeling really hopeful and really hoping this is the month for us!

Mollie - Whoohoo for the fun fest. And you got the tatoo- congrats and happy b-day!

Serena - How is Mr. croupy doing? - DD had croup twice already, so I know how icky it is. Yey for the new work schedule - I would LOVE to have a day off during the week.

Callie - Great to hear your appointment with the RE went so well! Maybe this will be the cycle for you and glad to hear you had such a good weekend.

callieollie - Thats great news from your appointment. Nice to hear that everything else is good.

Amy - Thanks for sharing. What a stressful thing to hear from your midwife- you think she could have put it a little more gently. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly.

EMMA- OMG! I am jumping out of my seat to hear about your next test!

AFM - 8dpo today. Had my last acupuncture appointment for this cycle on Saturday. I feel like we had good timing this time, but I felt that way before. I think that if it doesn't happen this time around, I will make an appointment myself to see an RE. Everything looks good on paper, but obviously I am missing something- its either me or DH.

Today I sat through a 2 hour meeting with a glowy pregnant co-worker next to me. I am trying so hard not to "over-think" this cycle, but its so hard when it smacks you in the face at every corner. On happy news, we are going to Disneyland for Halloween this year - can't wait!
You guys are so funny! Honestly, today has been so busy I haven't though about it much. After I POAS, I examined it so much it was ridiculous, so I finally threw it out and went about my day. Can't wait for tomorrow morning though!

ETA: Just took a test using FMU. BFN. Guess it was a shadow line.
Callie, I think you will notice that the meds really change your cycle! I know that Clomid can mess with your temps, so just keep that in mind.
Sorry to hear about your bad night

Amy, I hope that the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly. Harlow is one of our favorite baby names We actually had wanted to name a girl baby Bella Harlow, but now that Twilight is so big, the name is out!

callieollie, sounds like you had a great appointment! I hope this is the month for you too!

myorianna, Mr.Croupy was starting to get better, I thought, but last night he was coughing all night it seems non existent during the day, but at night its still there. We have a cool humidifier going 24/7 in his room, not sure if its helping anymore.
Acupuncture can really work wonders! lots of luck this cycle for you Disneyland on Halloween will be awesome!!!

Emma, don't give up! its still so early!

AFM: CD30, 11 DPO.. the longest LP ive had was 12 days. Normally I would have POAS by now, but I just can't bring myself to do it. FF has tomorrow as my test date. Oh ya, temps are up today!

Serena - Wow good for you for being strong and not testing! That's awesoome. Are you testing tomorrow?

Emma - Boo for the BFN! I'm with Serena - don't give up hope! How was the fair? I hope ya'll had fun!

myorianna - Disney at Halloween sounds like so much fun! How did you like your acupuncture appointments? I'm sorry about sitting in that meeting with a glowy coworker... I'm sure that was really tough. Just seeing all the pregnant women at Target drives me up the wall. I've started shopping with blinders on.

callieollie - I'm glad everything looked pretty good at your appt! The good thing about low progesterone is that it's easy to correct. You might want to call and confirm when you should start the progesterone. I talked to my RE about that on Monday and she told me I could start progesterone the day my temp goes up. I told her I usually waited 2 days, and she said there was no reason to wait an extra day.

tjjazzy - Are you charting? Sorry, I can't remember. I hope you catch that egg this month!

Mollie - How are things going this week? Still having fun?

AFM - Yesterday I felt so bad... queasy, dizzy, tired, achey, etc. I was hating the Clomid and trying to convince myself I can get through a few more days of it. Finally, I took my temp and realized I had a fever. Duh. This morning my temp was still high, so I still don't have a reliable temp for FF yet. I guess it's okay since today's just CD7... hopefully I'll get to temp tomorrow. :P Anyway, after I took DS to daycare, I came home and laid down and slept for 4 hours! Yikes. I guess I really needed that sleep.

I have 1 OPK right now.... Somehow I didn't realize I had used all my cheapies. I ordered some more on Monday, but I'm not sure if they'll be here on time. I might have to buy some pricier ones if my OPKs aren't here by Fri or Sat.

Callie-I hope you feel better quickly. We ended up not going to the fair. had a lazy day instead. We were planning to go today, but now it's raining.

Serena-my DS had croup a year ago and it was terrible. The only thing that helped was steroids (which I hated giving him). They helped immediately though.

i hope you feel better *hugs*

I hope you feel better soon, Callie! I ended up calling the OB and I'm supposed to start on p+3, so that I know I'm definitely past peak and it's not just an elevated temp before that. So the pharmacy must have read it wrong. It's funny because they asked me what it said and I said I thought 3 but they thought it looked like 5 so they said they would call the doctor to double check but apparently they didn't!

I'm so annoyed though because I picked up the prometrium from our pharmacy here (just our local Giant) and found out later I could get it much cheaper online. I had actually called around to compare prices (our insurance doesn't cover meds) and Giant was the cheapest I was quoted but they quoted me on 1 month supply (10 pills) and the others quoted me on 3 months (30 pills) which I didn't realize at the time. So I'm pay $54 instead of $37. Oh well. It could be worse. And if i don't get pregnant this cycle, I can just order it online. It's at freedomfertility.com for anyone else who may have to pay for fertility meds out of pocket.

Sorry I've been MIA. DH had an accident Tuesday night with the 6-wheeler. He got stuck, and FIL was pulling him out when the cable broke and hit him right in the mouth. He's lost 3 teeth, and needed 7 stitches. He will probably end up with dental implants. We need to wait 6 weeks to see how his teeth heal. So, needless to say, our month of trying is over.

I'm starting to think the universe is trying to tell me to give up. It's been one thing after another every month, and it's been almost a year of trying now. I can't catch a break for anything.

Mollie, How scary! im so sorry to hear about your DH s im glad he is ok! im sure he's in a lot of pain though s

callieollie, I find online is usually cheaper for everything.. we do most of our shopping online. I haven't bought meds online, but im in Canada, and our healthcare is different here.. I dont even know if I could buy them online! Luckily we get most of them covered through our insurance.

Emma, did you test again?
Sebastian got some steroids almost two weeks ago and they did help! they helped a lot! now we just have to ride it out. He's so much better now, its really just at night that its still bothering him.

Callie, sorry you are feeling sick the Clomid can only make it worse! but you can get through these next 5 days with it its so worth it

AFM: I took a test and it was negative.. I could see a very very faint line, that you would only see if you were desperately looking for one, so im thinking it was the chemical line. Im just using internet test strips, so I guess ill test again tomorrow and the day after until AF shows. I do have a digital test that ill use on the weekend if she isnt here. I thought FF would give me another test date, but all it says is to go to the DR's (I have an appointment on Monday).
So im CD31 and 12DPO... I havent had a LP longer than 12 days..

Serena - Sorry about the BFN, but maybe you'll get a + in a day or two. It's great that you're LP is 12 days so far! Yay!

Mollie - Oh my goodness!! I'm so sorry about your DH. I'm sure it's hard to see him in pain. How's he doing? Are you 100% sure your month of trying is over? Maybe a little time with you would have some healing power.

callieollie - I'm glad you called the doctor and clarified. It's crazy that the pharmacy didn't call to check. I'm sorry about the pharmacy issue. It's crazy how expensive that stuff is. Even with insurance, I pay $35 for my Prometrium.

Emma - I'll be checking in on you today! Also, if your family goes to the fair today, remember that you can take in canned goods from Food Lion to get in for free.

AFM - I feel SO much better! Whew! I am so relieved that I was sick and not experiencing awful side-effects from the clomid. I am very, very relieved, because I felt awful!

It's CD8 here... I'm ready to get this party started, you know? I seriously had a dream last night where all these musicians were playing "Let's Get it On." My subconscious has a sense of humor, apparently.
He's in a lot of pain, as you can imagine. I just cannot imagine him being in the mood for anything except sleeping. He's pretty doped up on painkillers too. So, our chances are nil for this month.

It's very scary to think about what might have happened. The doctor said that he's lucky it happened the way it did, otherwise he might've been dead if it hit him higher up on his head, or in his throat. I don't want to think about that too much.

I'm glad you're feeling better Callie. I had weird dreams on Clomid as well.
