Wow, Mollie, I'm so glad your DH is okay. I hope you don't think I was trying to make light of your DH's pain or his situation. I'm sorry you won't get to keep trying this month.
No, not at all Callie. He's doing OK, he's up & doing things today. It's so hard to not be able to kiss him, as we do that a lot. I gotta restrain myself because it's such a habit.

We'll see how he's feeling, but I'm not going to be hopeful that we'll get to do anything.

Hi! My name is Kristen. I'm new here! I'm 32 and dh is 34. We have 4 wonderful kids and are trying for another one. It's been a couple of months of trying with no luck. Hopefully this month will be it!! Can't wait to get to know you all better!

Kristen - Welcome! Do you chart? If you do and you want to add a link, I'll put it on the intro page. Do you have 2 boys and 2 girls?

Mollie - I'm glad your Dh is moving around. I'm sure it's hard not to be able to kiss him. At least there's a tiny possibility that he might be up for a little TTC action. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

AFM - I had to come post b/c I got my ICs today! I'm so excited (yes, I'm a dork). I ordered them on Monday, so I'm relieved they came today. One interesting thing I've noticed with the Clomid is that I have MORE cm than normal right now. I've read it normally dries you up, but that's not the case for me. At least, not so far. Interesting!

Mollie! So glad he didn't get a worse injury! How scary.

Wolcome Kristin!

Callie-yay for ICs! lol

AFM-temp plunged today, so AF should show any day now.

Hello. Just wanted to poke my head in and say hi! I'm 38, DH is 48 and we are TTC#3. I have PCOS, and just started Actos. If AF doesn't start on its own, I will induce with Provera. So...we're are not officially startiing until November. I don't chart much anymore, but I do use a CBFM.

ETA: We are using Femara, which is how we conceived DS2...

NishaG - Hello and welcome! I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with PCOS. I'm sure that's really frustrating. I hope the meds help!

Emma - So sorry about the temp drop. I was really hoping this would be it for you!

AFM - Today's my last day of Clomid. yay! My OPK was actually a little darker this morning, already. I wonder if that's a result of the Clomid too. IDK. DH and I have been so bitchy towards each other though. It's one of those vicious circles, where we're grumpy because we haven't had sex, but we're not having sex because we're grumpy. We need to break the cycle. Maybe we should have some wine tonight or something.

I'm thinking I'm going to have another annovulatory cycle. I just don't see O happening anytime soon. Today is CD 20, and OPK test lines are barely visible. I am so fed up with this whole process.

I'm seriously thinking about taking an antidepressant again. I don't know how else to deal with everything.

Mollie - I'm so sorry! That is so frustrating.

Nisha- welcome! I also have pcos and usually have to induce AF every time with provera, or I won't have one.

Tulpen- Yay! Have some wine Dh and I have been learning how to home brew red wine, it's quite fun! Just bottled some Shiraz and Sangiovese

Mamalove- Thats frustrating, I'm sorry. My ds was conceived on clomid, but we are doing the Femara for 3 cycles and it seems to be making me O like it's supposed to. Also there's a coupon online for $10 a cycle which is way cheaper than clomid would be for us.

AFM- we'll for the first time...um EVER in my entire life, I got my period on my own at CD30! With pcos I am always having to induce them with provera. So I started Cycle 2 of Femara, took the last dose today (CD4) and go for my 'wand up the yaya' ultrasound next Friday to see if we have any eggs.
Sad that the two eggs last cycle didn't stick, but this next cycle came so fast and unexpectedly, thankfully I don't have time to be sad for too long.

I have a really good feeling about this cycle. If it works I'll have kids with birthdays in May, June, July and August This one hopefully being my July baby....

Mollie, s Clomid makes you ovulate later than normal anywhere between CD 16 and CD22 if you start taking it on CD5. Don't give up yet. Im sorry that you are feeling so upset I understand why, just wish I could do something to make you feel less frustrated.

AFM: I am super upset I got a call from my Dr's office, I have an appointment on Monday. My Dr got hurt and wont be in the office for a couple weeks and NONE of his non-pregnant people are getting to see a different doctor in the practice. I kept telling her that im on fertility meds and that if they don't work this cycle I will have to start them again on certain days, but the receptionist didn't care. The best thing I can do is leave a message for the doctor on call on Monday and try to get them to read the results of my blood work and if need be, write me a prescription for more meds. I did leave them a message today and they didn't call back... if I have to ill go down in person, ive been going through this for way too long to get lumped into some group with everyone else.

Today is 13 DPO for me.. ive never had a 13 dap LP before! I did take a test this morning, there was a line, a very very very very faint line, so faint you could think it was a evap, but it wasnt clear or grey, it did have a hint of color (I took pictures heeehee). My temp went doesn 0.1 so I dont know what to think, im thinking the worst right now, but if AF stays away until Sunday ill take a digital test.

This was longer than I intended, thanks for letting me vent mama's ♥

Re-entering the fray...

Hi y'all... I was around when this thread was first started!!! I haven't been online here since June last year, or thereabouts... but I think I'm back... lol

I think we're ttc #2.... lol

had 3 early miscarriages (1st one was Dec26, 08, then again in Feb09 and Mar09)
kinda fell off the bandwagon after that... but I'm back. I think. lol

Baby dust to all of you lovely ladies!!!! <3

Thank you Serena. I've been taking Clomid CD 3-9, 2 days longer than before, and it still isn't helping me. Lasy cycle I O'd on CD19, now I'm CD21, and still nothing.

I don't get it, don't understand why I'm having such a hard time. I never had a problem getting pregnant before. I don't know how much longer I can take this. My youngest will be nearly 5 if we ever manage to have another. I never wanted such a large age gap between my kids.

Mollie s I know how frustrating it is s Are you on clomid because you are anovalatory? maybe you could add in some chasteberry and B6 in addition to your prescribed meds. Ive been taking chasteberry the whole time and noticed a difference in my charts after 2 months.

I understand how you dont want a large age gap, we only wanted a year between our babies.. Sebastian will be 2 at Christmas I just keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason.... right?

any experienced mama's know how to read a pregnancy test that has two windows (one circle and one kinda rectangle). What I thought was a digital test turns out to be not a digital test and expired! but ive read that expired tests are accurate.. not so accurate if you dont know how to read them!!!! I dont know the brand either....
heavensearth--not that experienced. . .but i think in the tests with the two windows the rectangle window is the control line and the circle is the preg line and I think with those you get a - (for not preg) line or a + (for preg, duh) in the circle. Post pics of your tests so we can obsess with you!
Ok, I uploaded a pic of the two tests I took today and the one test yesterday (I inverted yesterdays test).

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v6...nsearth/stuff/ the password is: TTC

Not sure what all these means with my Dr being MIA and me being high risk...

heavensearth--Woohooo!!! I love seeing BFPs!!!! Hope things work out with your Dr situation.

BTW: sorry to just start posting here without an intro. I have intro'ed in the Nursing mamas TTC thread and forgot I haven't here. Oops. Anyway, I'm also a 30 something (35 in a couple months) mama trying for #2. But I haven't had my first PPAF yet, so I guess we'll be truly TTC when I get my cycles back unless we catch that first egg. I'd ideally like to get preg this summer, so that my DS can have another 6 months of uninterrupted nursing. But we're open to getting preg now and I'm getting the TTC itch pretty badly.

I think you're right! it would be pretty awful to have a + mean anything else other than pregnant!

I am so so so so happy ♥ but, im trying to keep it under control until I have a blood test done...

Maybe im in shock..............

Welcome btw! this is a very good place, lots of support It took me 15 months to get my cycle back.. hope yours doesnt take that long! good luck!

musicoholic, thank you
