DS needs to be in disposables for the next 2 weeks for medical reasons. He has some granulation on his belly button that got cauterized this morning and it needs to be exposed to air... we use BumGenius pocket diapers exclusively and they come up over his belly button where he's only 10 weeks old.
He hasn't been in disposable diapers since the meconium days and I feel totally out of my element! I know in general they are MORE absorbant than cloth, but it seems so counterintuitive since they are so much thinner. I am trying to handicap my nighttime diapering routine. Usually DS does not need to be changed during the night, unless he poops or is up nursing a lot. With a disposable one, do you think this would remain the case?
