Recurring pregnancy loss/habitual abortion

Has anyone of you had diagnostics because of RPL?

I have been pregnant 6 times- and I have one healthy child.

Two losses happened before I got my child, so I thought it was just bad luck, but within the statistics.

Now I have suffered three very early losses in a row (chemical pregnancies- 3 days of positive tests and pregnancy symptoms and then nothing) and have made an appointment for further testing in a specialised clinic.

I am quite nervous. Everything seemed to be okay- my cycle length, my partners sperm got tested a few years ago (different woman), came back okay.
I already have a healthy child.
I am afraid something awful may wait for us.

So is there anybody out there with experience and a bit calm for me, please?

I'm a little new to this so I don't have a lot of information. I had a loss at 9w4d in 2001. DD1 was born in 2003 & DD2 in 2007. I just had back to back losses in July and September. The first I was 6 weeks. The second was probably chemical since my HCG never rose above 32 but it took until almost five weeks for the bleeding to happen. I'm going to do a cycle of injectibles first. If that doesn't work we'll be doing an endometrial biopsy to check progesterone function and to test for uterine infection. There is also blood work to check how your blood clots (don't know the name for all that). If all of that is negative I'll be looking at a septum resection. If you've never had an HSG to check the shape of your uterus you'll probably have that as well. I've already had this test because of infertility. I'm so sorry for all of your losses and hope you can find some answers.

There are lots of things that can cause miscarriages, and some of them are very easy to fix. So it's way too early to panic yet. I've just had one miscarriage (in 3 years of TTC), so I haven't had the repeat loss workup. You might check out the TTC after loss forum. Those ladies are awesome, and they know their stuff.
