Looking for good non-gummi vitamins for DD

Hi Mamas!

I am looking for good non-gummi vitamins for my 2yo DD. I seem to be only able to find gummi vitamins at my local health food store and I really don't want them. I don't mind buying them on-line but it seems like a crazy task to find them. So, I was wondering if anyone else used good non-gummi vitamins and where you got them?

Thank you!

My parents have a little shop in which they carry some high quality supplements. From them I get a children's chewable vitamin from Food Science of Vermont called Kid's Superior. The dosing suggestion on the bottle starts at 4 years old, but I called them about giving it to my two-year-old and they said it would be fine. It's not gummy!

We also get Dinodophilus chewable acidophilus at our local co-op. They aren't gummy and are sweetened with xylitol.

Hope that helps.

Or you could get an adult's vitamin that is in a kid friendly form (if your dd can swallow pills I am jealous and want to know any tricks you have ) and scale the dosage down based on what kid's vitamins have vs the adult vitamin

I highly recommend rainbow light:

This is a powder that you can measure the pack for baby through 4 year-old. You can mix it in food or smoothies.

The Rainbow Light Multi-stars are also great:

They are food based, and have nice extras like greens and such and free of artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners and preservatives, lactose, gluten and allergenic yeasts.

I wouldn't give a young child or toddler an adult vitamin. Children are not just small adults.

I've had good luck with vitacost, the prices are good.

Thank you mamas!

sapphire_chan DD doesn't swallow pills yet so I don't have any pointers for you, sorry. However, she has swallowed food whole since we started her on solids so maybe she would.

We've been using a liquid children's vitamin that my 2 year old DD loves from Sacred Vibes Apothecary. It really tastes good.
