**TTC in our 20's October** - Page 3

Thanks for posting your ideas, guys. It's really nice to be able to talk to people about stuff no one IRL wants to hear about

I don't know what the heck it was, but it seems to have passed. That day was kinda crazy, but the next day I started what seems to be my "real" period....same ol' achey cramps and heavy bleeding. So who the heck knows. Maybe my hormones were just going crazy last cycle.

Jeninejessica, glad to know someone else has experienced the same thing! That's exactly how I felt too. My DBF was *this close* to canceling his trip because he couldn't stand to see me like that, just writhing around on the bathroom floor moaning and trying to breathe through the pain.

So this month, I think we're going to skip charting. I kindof liked knowing what my body was doing, but I think it made me a little more obsessed about every feeling in my body DBF and I decided that we're just going to DTD every other day from CD7 - CD 21, and hope that something sticks. I feel optimistic this cycle, and less crazy already. Let's hope it stays that way!!

Crossing my fingers for all of us to get BFPs this cycle!!!!

Hey ladies. HopefullyMama I feel you on the BFPs this cycle, I really hope we all get it!!!!! I keep flipping back and forth between holding off till December or trying next month. My cycle is suppose to start this Friday and if it does I'd expect to O around November 8. The problem with trying then is that DPs youngest's bday is mid July and his oldest is mid August. If I do conceive next month I'd probably have the baby in one of their birth months. I feel kinda weird about that. I don't want it to seem like I'm stealing their shine or anything but I've just been having this feeling that I really should try next cycle. I'd originally said I'd use the last cycle and this one coming up to get a feel for charting/temping and not focus on getting a BFP but now I don't want to waste next cycle especially give DP's "issue" I mentioned a while back (he's not really able to keep up with the whole every other day thing). WWYD?

Thanks Sourire, my temp has started to drop and I haven't done anything different so maybe my temps were genuinely just that high??

Monday Check-In
Name: Sarah
Date: 10/11
Chart: not online
Where are you in your cycle: CD21/5DPO
Appointments: none
Symptoms if they apply: Less than last cycle. The only real obvious thing I have noticed is lots of ovary pain since ovulation.
Testing: I would like to say I am going to wait until 14dpo, but I know I wont. I will probably test on Friday and then wait until Monday to test again. I am not sure why, but I prefer to test when DH is at work. So Friday and Monday are probably my days.
Thoughts: none really. i want this to be it, but I am preparing myself for it not to be. I do not think we will avoid, but we will not be making a huge effort until the first of the year if this is not it, the timing would be rather stressful next July and August.

Hopefullymama - Wow, that sounds like a scary experience! I am glad that it passed quickly. Wishing you lots of luck this cycle!

Can yall look at my chart and tell me what you think, if I O'd or not?

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1553df

I am breastfeeding my almost 11-month old. I have not had PPAF return, but had spotting on and off for the past few weeks and fertile cm so I thought I'd start charting.

My temps are up and FF gave me crosshairs. But they aren't that high and my cervix is not what it usually us in the TWW. It's still kinda soft and I still have fertile cm. It stretches a lot but it's really watery? Anyone else have that in the tww? I'm feeling kinda crampy today, like in the back. I think I'll just BD when we want to (we usually do every two or so days anyway except DH has been sick the past week so not much then) and see what happens with my temps. I guess if AF doesn't show in 11 days and temps are still above coverline, I'll take a test. *shrug*

I'm so bummed today. This was our first cycle on Clomid and I had expectations - I won't say high expectations, but I was hopeful. So...my period was due Oct. 8 and Oct. 8 came and went with no AF. Same for the
9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. My temp was high this whole time as well - yesterday was day 19 of high temps. Wouldn't you know, AF decided to show today??? I am so angry - how can I be five days late for AF and have high temps for 19 days and STILL not be pregnant???

We've decided we're not temping or charting this month, but still going to do Clomid. If I'm not pregnant by Christmas, we're going to move forward with IUI.

Sorry, just had to vent for a minute.
Gale, I have heard that Clomid can do that, extend your LP that is. How frustrating and disappointing though! Hang in there!
Kali, it sure looks like you Od to me.
GaleTX - I'm sorry to hear that. Good luck this cycle!

I'm currently on CD 34. I have 31 day (or shorter) cycles, period. But I've taken 5 tests now and all BFNs. My temp was still up this morning. I have no idea what's going on. I've always gotten positive results with home tests. Can that change from one pg to the next? I'm out of tests and tired of buying them so I'm just going to wait a few days and see what happens. Not sure when I'll go to the doctor.

20 something, TTC in October

Please Add Me
Name: Mohawk Mamma
Date: 10/14
Chart: not charting yet
Where are you in your cycle: CD23, TTC #2
Appointments: none, except I did have a consultation with midwife & her assistant to see if they were the "one". They are
Symptoms if they apply: throughout last weekend i felt really crampy & bloaty & expected AF 10/12, but cramps went away & AF never came. this is cycle #3 of BCP, so maybe my body is adjusting back to a 28 day cycle, idk.
Testing: BFN after BFN, i've decided i will not buy another test til AF has been MIA a considerable time & i start noticing some pregnancy symptoms. i just can't resist taking the test if it's in the house, lol
Thoughts: gonna focus on the life we have right now as a family, quit stressing DTD & O'ing, etc. & just enjoy what we have while we hope & pray for #2

Does BCP mean birth control pills? I'm confused.

You and I seem to be having the same cycle. My AF was due 10/12 as well and I've had 5 BFNs as of this morning. I bought a two pack last night and used them both already, so yeah, I'm not buying anymore for a few days. In fact, if AF doesn't show, I may just go straight to the doctor and skip the tests.
Amanda- yah, "BCP" means birth control pills. here's a link to a list of TTC abreviations, it was really helpful to me when i first got on here, i didn't know what everyone was talking about, lol. http://www.mothering.com/discussions....php?t=1116968
i'm glad i found someone running close the same cycle as me! (or what i think my cycle is

Back to CD 1.
amanda- sorry for your CD1. but hey, maybe this time? here's some baby dust for you & some encouragement from my conception/fertility affirmations: "every time my period comes i rejoice because i know my body is healthy and working perfectly" (easier to write than believe, but keep the TTC faith, wishing good thoughts for you!)
Mohawk Mamma, those affirmations sound like a really great idea! Unfortunately I have trouble believing my body is working perfectly when my period lasts 1-2 weeks and my LP is 8 days (shorter than my period most of the time). I will have to think of some other affirmation that would work for me!

jumping in!

Name: la mamita (25 yo) TTC for #2. I have a 5 year old and have had two early losses (5 weeks and 8 weeks).
Date: 10/15
Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1e5134
Where are you in your cycle: CD35, 16DPO, first cycle after a loss.
Appointments: naw. i'm going to the lab for a blood test on monday if i don't get a period before then.
Symptoms if they apply: boobs hurt.
Testing: POAS and lab urine tests don't work for me (i always get false negatives...i'm one of the weird ones), so it's quantitative blood testing or nothing. and that's expensive...
Thoughts: right now i just want to know whether or not i am pregnant this cycle. i am at a major crossroads as far as getting started in my career, i think i am definitely going to be the breadwinner in the family. right now i'm in an unpaid internship after graduating from grad school and sending out a bunch of job applications. so if i am pregnant i REALLY want to get a job ASAP so we can get a little nest egg together for a short maternity leave. i definitely won't qualify for paid maternity leave...

Mohawk Mamma - Thank you for the aspiration. I always pray for a miracle, meaning a pregnancy, but I do try to tell myself that a woman's cycle, in its own way, is also a miracle.
