Come on October BFPs!!!!!!
Hey ladies. I'm starting out October smack dab in the middle of my TWW. I'm on CD8 and plan on testing on Wednesday morning (CD11). I slept all day on Friday and my appetite is ridiculously huge which are both strange things for me. DH and I are being super positive this whole TWW and letting ourselves enjoy the possibility that we are pregnant without any intervention since this is our last hurrah before seeing the specialist. We figure we will be devastated whether we stay positive or not, so why not try out some good vibes in the mean time

How is everyone else? Lilmom, thanks again for taking over the thread so we all have a place to chat. Before you started the 2nd September board, I was catching up ok everyone's posts and charts and, I'm not sure if she announced it or not, but EricaRN got a BFP too! One more for September- awesome!

Thanks ItsUnfertility! I think it is very exciting that we had FOUR BFPs in September in our little group!

I'm hoping October is just as good! And I think it all sounds really good for you! Those sound like the symptoms I had with DS in the beginning! There's nothing wrong with being hopeful and positive! I'll be anxiously awaiting your Wednesday test.

Anybody else in the TWW?

I have nothing to report myself, no O yet, CD 17.

Nothing to report here Hope everyone has a good week though!

Hi!

I'm not currently TTC -- in fact, I'm 20 weeks pregnant -- but just wanted to share a success story. I've have looooooooooong cycles for the last year or two, possibly early peri-menopause (I'm 31! With hot flashes!), and was getting my period about once 3-4 months or thereabouts.

Realizing we probably didn't have a whole lot more time to have a second child, DH burned the condoms and we went to work on it in March 2010. Around June, I noticed that I was smelling peoples' perfume (and everything else) from a really long distance. Looks we succeeded sometime in May (I think?) and are looking forward to meeting the newest member of our family in mid-February.

Best of luck to all and wishes for a + sign!

Hey, all. I'm back from my cycle away from the forums. Sadly, still not pregnant, and I did not ovulate any earlier either. CD4.

We'll hit the 6 month mark in a few days, so I went to the doctor this afternoon, hoping to receive something to help me ovulate sooner. Instead, I was treated to the lovely "relax and don't stress" talk and sent on my way. They won't do anything (or even test me) until one year. And even then, they are so freaked out about multiples around here, that I'm not sure they'll do anything useful.

My husband is flying away on business in a few weeks, and I just hope I ovulate before then. If I ovulate early (CD18 has been the earliest of the past 5 cycles), then we have a chance at least. So, I'm going to sit down and have a chat with my ovaries and encourage them to pop out an egg.

Hey SweetBee! Glad you're back

Sorry your doctor won't do anything until the 1 year mark. Gotta love the "relax, don't stress" advice, when you'd probably be more relaxed if they'd give you some better advice or answers!

Praying this is an earlier ovulation cycle for you!

SweetBee,
Ditto what Lauren said. I'm sorry it hasn't happened yet! Maybe those ovaries will listen to that good talk from you Keep us posted!

Hello Sweet.Bee! Sorry to hear what you're going through - you're not alone! I'm on CD66? Im losing count. I tried calling to schedule and appointment with my OB as well seeing as how I probably wont see AF for awhile (and I thought I O'd on 09/03 - BFN's.) They gave me the be patient talk as well. Hope your ovaries listen to you soon!

Congrats karanyavel!

Hey everyone. Welcome back SweetBee. So sorry your doc isn't being helpful, that has to be super frustrating. Sometimes I feel like a stern talking to my ovaries will whip them into shape, so hopefully the same will work for you!

AFM, Took an FRER yesterday and today (CDs 11 and 12) both huge BFPs. The worst ones yet. We really truly thought this was it. We timed everything *perfectly* and I was sure I had what was some serious implantation cramps. Oh well, guess not.

We went to our initial consult with the RE today. She was great. Not super touchy feely, but optomistic and reassuring, and she definitely knows her stuff! We are starting out with an SA for DH, as well as day 3 bloodwork and then an HSG for me once I'm done with AF. From looking at my history, she thinks I'm the perfect candidate for Clomid, but wants to run thsee tests first to make sure we are heading down the right track.

ItsUnfertility -
I'm so sorry. I hate when you are just SURE this is it, and it's not it. But at least you had a good consult with the RE, I think that's great! You are definitely taking positive steps!! And the fact that you are comfortable with her, that's fantastic!
I'm sorry ItsUnfertility. But you are making good strides forward with the tests. Good luck to you for some helpful results!

I'm on my last day of provera...so I'll be anticipating AF so I can start my first round of clomid- so excited! But not too excited...trying not to get my hopes up.

Thanks for the welcome back, all.

I don't really have it as badly as most of you, so I guess I shouldn't really complain. I do ovulate every cycle, but it's much later than it used to be, so I'm just frustrated with my body. 6 months of TTC soon, ugh.

So, when I went into the doctor, I naively hoped I would be prescribed Clomid or something to bring up O, but he didn't want to give it to me since I'm already ovulating. I suppose it kind of makes sense, but it doesn't make me feel any better.

Here, they are super afraid of doing anything that increases the chance of multiples. . . which is why every other woman I see has twins. But so afraid are they that the doctor would want to monitor my follicles by ultrasound just on Clomid (never heard of that? is that common?). Not that it matters, as he won't even give it to me anyway. If this cycle doesn't work out, I'm considering soy though.

ItsUnfertility, sorry. It's just not fair when everything is timed perfect and still no pregnancy.

Lauren2010, good luck with the Clomid.

Bel718, it's hard to be patient, isn't it? Maybe it's their turn to be patient and listen to us.

And ovulation (or implantation!) vibes to everyone!

SweetBee - FWIW, they are supposed to monitor you on Clomid if you have a good RE. Hey, at least you're ovulating! That's a good thing! Also, have you thought about acupuncture? I can't remember, sorry. But if not, that's how I got DS. No drugs, and it worked in 4 months.

Either way, good vibes back at ya. Hang in there.
Sweet Bee, I know my RE plans on monitoring my follicles once I'm on clomid in order to know when to give me a trigger shot that will release an egg once a nice healthy one develops.

Speaking of, tomorrow is CD 3 and I go in for bloodwork. I'm going to beg the RE to start me on the clomid this cycle instead of waiting until the next one starts since they're so long. We'll see what happens.

Lilmom, I've been receiving acupuncture for around 6 weeks now, I hope it works as well for me as it did you!
I haven't looked into acupuncture really. I'm kind of. . . hyper (for lack of a better word). I'm always running around and when I'm not, my mind is busy. My husband doesn't think I can sit still quietly for longer than 7 seconds.

I'm doing fertility yoga, though. It's supposed to be relaxing, and I still feel like I'm doing something. I'm also doing mild aerobics because I did this 2 cycles ago and ovulated on CD19! So, I'm grasping for anything that could maybe make me O sooner.

Nice to know about the Clomid and monitoring. I've heard so many people talk about it and not mention any monitoring that I wondered.

It'sUnfertility - I'm hoping acupuncture does for you what it did for me with DS, and what I hope it will do for me again when I start back up..

Sweet.Bee - I didn't even know there was such a thing as fertility yoga! Sounds like fun. Also, I know if I get exercise it definitely helps my cycle length. You would think I would really do it more often, LOL. I used to be a crazy workoutaholic prior to having DS, and worked out at least 5-6 days a week and my cycles were about 35 days long. Now with DS and DH in grad school and working, I just don't do it. : ( I am thinking if I lost 20 pounds and worked out like I used to it would really help. But that is my plan after DH finishes school in Dec. YAY!
Thought I'd bump us up. Guess we're all just waiting for ovulation!

Sweet bee- I do yoga too! Just yoga dvds- Rodney Yee is my favorite instructor. I wonder how different fertility yoga is from regular yoga? Maybe I should look into it.
