We've drained, placed drains, more antibiotics, flushing, etc, and the drains were removed yesterday. I have to bring him back again tonight because the skin is clearly not viable Aaaargh! He's going to be one special kitty. I have a picture that 4yo DD1 drew of him with his cone on to put up on his kennel tonight though
Ah. Yea, our vet tech is amazing. It's like kitty hardly notices he's got a thermometer up the bum! Sorry to hear kitty is having such a rough time. Hope he heals quickly.

Hi! Still CTA here. Need a vote on my chart.
I am positive I ovulated on Tuesday - I had GOBS of EWCM and then dry up the next day but FF is giving me CHs for Monday when i had a more defined temp dip. I tried changing the methods and it doesn't change the CHS. I could discard the open circle temp -I had a very restlless sleep that night- up every couple hours with DS .
What do you think:

Yeah that first egg is tough. But, know that you'll "probably" have a short luteal phase the first time around. At least I know I do. But, to be on the safe side we started preventing around the 1 year mark. I got AF back at about 14 months when she started sleeping through the night.

Restless nights are the reason I don't temp, Jenn; therefore, I'm not much help with the chart

I had a bunch of EWCM yesterday morning and decided that we wouldn't DTD, but DH had other plans. He is well aware that I am fertile right now. He w/d, but then went back for more so now I'm going to worry, of course. I really don't want to go on BC, but DH just doesn't seem to listen to the RULES. And I really believed he was on board with not having anymore kids right now

So, I've charted now for two months and I'm feeling fairly confident - cycles are pretty regular; I think I understand the rules. I was thinking about riding without the training wheels this cycle, but then the thermometer died (using regular fever thermometer 'til new one arrives). Also, we're about to go on vacation CD9-15 and I doubt I'll be able to temp properly when I would expect to ovulate. So another month of just observing signs and sticking with barriers for me.

On an unrelated note, I'm curious how long have y'all been CTA? I was looking through some old threads and saw "CTA since" next to names in the OP. What would y'all think about bringing this back? It'd let newbies like me know who the experienced wise ones are.

DD2 doesnt quite sleep through the night but she does sleep some nice stretches. i have been moody lately and having twinges around my ovaries, uterus, and even where my pubic bone split. funny story- just had chiro xrays taken and you can see the gap in my pubic bone. couldnt see it last time they did xrays.

they can smell when we are fertile. they are like wild animals.
drives them wild.

i noticed the DH always want to dtd when my temp drops. i was looking at my chart and there is a def correlation.....

if you get preg while bfing do your temps rise and stay that way?

i have been nauseas for 3 days now and am being paranoid. lol. i am getting low blood sugar issues too. so i know i am not preg. could i be gearing up for AF?

on the wild animals Jennifer. ITA.

As for bf, I was always told that there wasn't much I could do in terms of charting until after that first PPAF. I would just listen to your body in terms of CM, PMS, etc. I felt like my cervix was going to fall out, my cramps were so bad before my first PPAF this last time around. I've never gotten pg before starting cycles again and we were trying with DS to catch the first egg. I hope other mamas on here have some input for you!

What the heck is up with this? I have been spotting off and on the entire cycle. It has varied from brown, to black, to pink to red. Sometimes I need a panty liner sometimes it is just colorful when I wipe. I am not a midcycle spotter. This is so weird. Yesterday and today I feel so very pmsy. I haven't o'd yet though so maybe I will have an anovulatory cycle?
Any insight on this spotting would be helpful.

I will have to see how the rest of my temps turn out for this cycle but my dd lost my thermometer and I had to by a new one real quick at walgreens and this morning my temp is waaaaaay down. Is it normal for different thermometers to screw up your temps that much? How will that affect my coverline, etc.?
Thanks

FINALLY...got AF this morning and not just a little but full blown. I'm 13DPO (normally it's 14dpo when AF hits me) and I didn't ovulate until CD 25 according to FF. I also only had EWC only once this month and that was at CD 18. Weird. FF must have been somewhat right though.

Temps can definitely vary from therm to therm that's why you're not supposed to switch during the middle of a cycle, but hey, things happen. Do you ever get a dip just before you ovulate? If so, that could be what's going on. As for the spotting, I know that when my thyroid levels are off, I spot through most of my LP but not usually pre-O.
thanks, I usually do have a dip before o but not usually quite that significant. I figure that switching therm in mid cycle is better than not temping. I cant find it anywhere but I know it is here
I think the spotting is in some way due to my recent loss, although I didn't spot like this my first pp cycle but the second, weird. The spotting also varies in color from brown, black, pink, red, and in flow level. could be my thyroid i guess, wonder what other medical indications it might have.
thanks again

Do you mean what other medical indications you might have if you are having thyroid issues?

yes, or if there is something else that could be wrong with me (from the birth or not) that is causing this strangeness.

Your temps are pretty low, especially today's. Some other common symptoms are intolerance to temp changes or cold all the time, hair loss, extreme fatigue and brain fog. It might not hurt to have your GP check your thyroid levels just to see where they are.

Hey mamas, I'm still lurking, but my last two cycles were pretty textbook. This one, not so much. We are very very seriously avoiding, so we have just been abstaining if there is any fertile mucus, and we're going on 12 days now and both getting very frustrated.

I have these crazy long cycles of EW that I never had before. So annoying.
