CD 1 Finally! 15 day LP... longest ever, that I remember anyway. FF says that I've had a 15 day LP before. I was nervous though and very happy now!

I'm here too! I'm fairly new to charting but everything's going great so far and I'm SO happy to have the IUD out, horrible thing...

I'm charting my 2nd cycle and staring to get some CF, so I expect I'll see the thermal shift in a few days.

Welcome ekh!

I'll put you in the OP. Do you have a chart you'd care to share?

Also, what did you dislike about your IUD? I'm not big on hormones, but I've thought about paragard.

I had the Mirena after my 2nd was born. (I didn't use anything after the first, never got my period, and was pregnant when DD1 was 8 months old...) It caused my milk to dry up completely, and I had terrible insomnia and felt really hopeless and unhappy. I also gained weight and had bad acne. Most of those problems are now gone, thank God!
I've heard good and bad things about the ParaGard (sp?) but I decided not to get another IUD after my bad experience, and also because I had mild discomfort from it most of the time, not caused by hormones but simply by having the thing there...

Hi everyone! SOrry I've been so AWOL -- things have been BUSY now thatthe school year is off and running.

Do you guys think I'm safe? The tricky thing is:
1. I was sick RIGHT when I expected to see a temp shift after O and got much higher temps than is normal for me, so I assume they are fever temps

2. My DD keeps waking me up about 1-2 hours before I temp, it's usually just a few mintes of talking or at most walking her back to bed. if I sleep for an hour after that, will my temp be impacted?

I ovverrode FF with the most "conservative" O date that seemed likely, do you think it looks right (remember, I am VERY CTA and would rather wait if there's ANY question)? TIA!

If you don't trust your temps, you can use the mucus patch rule. Basically, if you have any cervical fluid and then you dry up, you can consider yourself safe on the evening of the fourth day. Then you can resume intercourse every other evening. You would need to stick to the every other evening rule so that if you haven't O'd yet, you will be able to catch if cervical fluid returns.

I am dry as a bone now, for sure. And my cervix feels closed, but I always second guess those things -- esp. when i would really like to consider myself safe. I'm thinking if I get another temp or two over 97 then I'll feel safe by Fri (god knows we're so busy during the week it hardly matters if we're "safe" or not!)

Hello, I'm new here. After long road to my I finally got my first PP AF. We'd like to wait a little before we have another LO but I'd rather not use anything hormonal especially since I'm planning to BF for a long time. We definitely want more kids, so ultimately I won't be terrified to see a BFP but we would like to wait a year or so. DS still nurses at night and I'm curious to find out whether my temps would be accurate, or if my cycles will be regular in any way. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.

My chart is here. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/25e8b5

I'd like to join this too! We use the Creighton method, so I've just coded EWCM every time I see CM that counts as fertile on Creighton charting. Here's my chart (no temps b/c that's not part of our method). My Ovulation Chart

We've been using it to TTA for the last 3 1/2 years and I'm trying to get back into charting since we're thinking about TTC this summer. This first cycle is all messed up, b/c of stress and my annual appointment which always makes me spot a few days after. So right now I'm on CD19 waiting for O. Which normally happens around CD 18 or 19 so this will be a longer cycle.

I'm so glad to join you ladies!

I'd love to join you here ladies! Yesterday was my dd's first birthday and today I got my period back...so I'm busting out the charts again!

DH and I got married in Dec. 2003 and I've had 10 cycles since then so.... I don't really consider myself a pro at charting. However, for the first time we're *really* charting to avoid for hopefully a couple years at least, so things are now a little more serious. We're going to have to start being real sticklers now. Although part of my heart would love a bfp, the sane part of my brain is saying "NOO!! Mama needs a break!"

So I'll probably lurk and ask a lot of stupid questions and try to glean a lot of wisdom from you big-timers.

do you have a longer history of charts besides the 2 we can see in your link? What is your avg O date? because from what I can see previous cycle, you didn't O until cd23 so i would be leary of FF giving you an O date of cd14 if 23 is more your norm. Especially if you can't rely on the temps you have.
just my 2 cents.

look at what FF gave me!

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/300c9b

crosshairs.

i doubt i o'ed. there was no cm at all. and that temp was 2 hours late. i did have cramping the other day but it was intestinal lol. i have a real hard time taking my temp right on sat and sun mornings. they are always at least an hour late. prob cause i stay up late the night before waiting for DS to get home. his curfew is 11 on weekends. however if i did o then i should only have to wait 13 days or so for AF right?

Started AF yesterday. I realize I've pretty much been using the Rhythm method with a little bit of FAM (the CM part) for the last month. I absolutely do not want to get pregnant right now and I am reading TCOYF. I want to start temping, but my sleep is anything but normal, so I don't know when I could possibly temp. I don't know the rules around temping either other than it's supposed to be at the same time everyday, in the morning right? I just started some new medications that would not be compatible with pregnancy, so I really need to focus on avoiding this month.

everybody has told me that the same time every morning is good, but it is better if you have had at least 3 hours of sleep before you temp. so i have been temping between 4 and 6 am. which ever is the longest sleep.

lionessmom-In my opinion ff sucks and I would NOT trust their interpretation. I do not believe that you have o'd. Not only did you not have cm but I wouldn't consider that a temp shift as there isn't enough difference in temps. Keep following it though, I could be wrong but ff has not been reliable for me.

yeah, i dont trust it either. after temping today the CH's are gone. lol. i was hopeful though that it meant i could expect AF. i havent had it yet and am waiting. i havent had one in 4 years, cause i got preg with DD2 on my first PP eggy after DD1.
