i know this is a long shot but does anyone know anything about an enlarged right internal jugular vein? i can only find info about when they're infected and i'm pretty sure it's not infected seeing as i've had it for at least 3 months with no fever. i'm supposed to see a vascular surgeon in a few weeks but i'm trying to get my primary doctor to bump up my appt. up earlier.

i spent a not so lovely evening in the ER last night for some chest pains. i brought my previous CT report so they see if my chest pain was related to my neck. everyone kept saying i had an aneurysm which is not something my doctor mentioned. according to the report is measures 2.8 x 2.1cm. has anyone ever dealt with something like this? how is it treated?

It has been almost a year since you posted your question. I hope you are still alive and doing well. I would like to hear the rest of your story. Recently I had a CT scan of my neck and chest done. Everything looked good and normal. The ENT specialist told me that I have an enlarged jugular vein like you have. Did you find an answer for your question?

Can you please tell us if you got any answers for jugular vein?  Why your right internal jugular vein was visible and larger than your left?  Thank you.
