I have a degree in educational studies which actually started me on my path to homeschooling (finished my degree a month before DD was born)... my experience in the public school made it clear to me that I wanted to try something else if possible. So it just seems natural to me to figure out what was different (much of what I learned applied more to large groups of kids, of course), plus I find it just plain interesting.
I'm leaning toward montessori-esque (though probably fairly eclectic... I'm not entirely clear on whether those are opposing ideas or not
), but I also like unschooling... I dunno.
Mostly, though, I'm so overwhelmed with just *life* right now, that focusing a bit on how the heck I'm going to accomplish this "homeschooling" thing makes me slightly less terrified.
