Comfortable, affordable training pants?

We did cloth for DD when she was under a year and then she grew out of most of the so we've been going back and forth between her old cloth diapers and disposables depending on if she's just had a growth spurt or not (she gets a big belly before growth spurts and then the cloth don't fit at all anymore!).

However, now she's pretty much potty trained. We have about one accident per day and she's dry most nights. We have two under the nile trainers (i found them in a random store while on vacation on sale) that work out ok. But they do leak if she wets herself. We tried underwear but I think they irritated her too much that we got rid of all of them. She really likes the fit of trainers and the fact that they are a lot softer. She's about 30lbs and 35 inches right now and has VERY chubby legs (that's why she grew out of cloth so quickly!).

Basically, I don't want to spend much more than about $10 per trainer (a little more is fine but not too much more). A friend recommended Hannah Andersson but they are way too much! Any other suggestions?

I've bought Hanna Andersson, Imse Vimse, and Gerber--and honestly, for the money, I was happiest with the simple 3-pack of Gerber training pants. With DS1, who was very chubby and didn't fit into standard training pants, I used to shove/sometimes safety pin a hemp insert into his regular undies. That worked well too.

Thanks. We actually picked some up today and DD loves them! It really helps that the boy ones have dinosaurs on them and are blue (her favorite color and current obsession). She hasn't had an accident in them so I don't know how well they do with leaks but so far they seemed to fit just fine (we bought a pack in both 2T and 3T to try the sizes and she's currently in the 2T). Our biggest concern was comfort and she seems very happy in that so I think we're ok.
