I've just discovered Waldorf and some amazing website with tons of awesome materials. I want to make stuff!! I just got a garbage bag full of sheep's woo free from someonel, and want to buy some wool felt, but I don't know what to make! Can you give me ideas? I have a 3 year old girl and a 7 month old girl. Thanks!

I'm back!
Well, I had a link to making little wool beads that you could string together using a yarn needle, and make a necklace or bracelet with. But the link is broken

And somewhere out there, is instructions for how to dye your wool with Kool-Aid, which is awesome since it's non-toxic. That way you can have lots of pretty colors to work with. But I can't find it now. If I do, I'll come back and update this.

Have fun!

I would like to learn how to dye fleece too...how do you do it without it felting...carefully, I guess...
and - does anyone know if it makes any difference whether you card it before or after dying?
I have some alpaca fleece I need to get stuck into.
for sewing things with felt sheets, there are loads of things to make - just learn blanket stitch and the world is your oyster.
Christmas tree decorations might be a good start.

I'm having troublemaking felt balls. I've asked in the arts and crafts section as well. I'm using uncarded wool. They don't come out hard and firm, the wools is easliy pulled off. Do I need to card the wool? do you need special carding brushes or can you use dog brushes?
